Just a quick one. If a car is compied and registered in NSW, will it automaticly be fine for rego in QLD? Will I be able to simply change redgo/plates over (its got a NSW roadworthy cert and NSW rego) at Mainroads?

I was told that it may not be that simple as the compliance requirements may not be the same in both NSW and QLD ie. more restrictions/reqirements in QLD than NSW.

Thanks in advance

think it might be.

my mate imported a GTiR and it got complied in QLD with 6mnths reg up there too.

then got shipped down here and re registered.

give vic roads a call, or who ever your Road dudes are up there, they'll answer that in 1minute

All stagea are complianced to the same adr's so they can be registered anywhere in oz

If you buy a car from down south, you will have to get a qld RWC $55 and then stamp duty 3.5% and for new plates $20 to get it re-registered.
