Hire A Race Car/car That Will Go Good On The Track - Nsw/sydney

Hey,

i've got a track day coming up, cars still not built.. and cant seem to off load the spot..

is there anyone in Sydney who hire out nice cars for the day/weekend.. that i could take to the track?? probably against their will??

An evo? lotus or whatever?? i've seen the later for around 500 a day with 5k deposit.

I've rented an mx5 and a s2000 for track days but in both cases that was a normal road car hire that I just took the liberty with...

Better idea is dedicated race car leases, Kel has used race car rentals before for their suzukis (the old single make ones), one of the blokes I race with has a couple of the old daewoos for rent too. Or you can go right up to porsche if you have the budget - in fact I bet there are a whole grid of them for lease at the moment.

hey that's from years ago when I did the 2 phillip island sprints in the rent a car. I got though a whole set of rear pads, drove back to melbourne metal on metal and said to the bloke "I think it might need new brake pads". He said nah no way are they gone yet. lol. Also I won the under 2l class both days

And the mx5 was funny too. I rented it to get my race license (so Kel could drive the gtst). It was an absolute POS, braking was terrible. I was coming last in all the braking exercises so Pete Findlay decided to use it for the demo to show me how to do it properly.......yes he had the same problem and went 1.5m further than me

Hertz hire out Cooper S and 86 Toyotas. both auto, and neither would set too many lap records, but both would be great fun on a race track. Even an SV6 would be reasonable around a track.
