Got the DVD yesterday; short but sweet show & tell of "satanic" put a very big smile on my face.

Thanks for the kind words, the time & the effort!

And thanks to Terry for sending me the PM; I got the DVD the same day and let's just say it's made my birthday this year that little bit more special ;)

I liked how Andrew quoted the phrase, "...on the strength of Skylines Australia Forum..."

And now the 'PERFORMANCE IMPORTS' Mag Issue #113 'Best Of The Best' has made its appearance as of yesterday.

6 pages about the 10th Anniv. Celebration pp 74-79

5 pages displaying pics 'n praise on Bakes' black beauty and also a major gong winner at the 10th Anniv. pp 52-56

mxfly's (Eugene's) vision has come to fruition :(

It certainly has, Terry! Good article by Nick (Black Widow), great photos, and good turnout made the R34's "10th anniversary" article a good read.

Bakes' car is just gorgeous, full stop!

Hey guys

Just bought the new HPI magazine, theyve got this event covered really well. Worth the buy - also includes 100 of the best imports!

Enjoy!

Yuka-san, Shanil, didn't even know till to-day that "PERFORMANCE IMPORTS #113" with her Mt Wilson pic in it, is out in the stands.

She's off to the newsagent now to get it. She's still getting over her trip back from Japan.

And she hasn't had a chance to see MOTIVE DVD #3 yet either. Good on her, for coming to the event with her 1 month old baby!

That's dedication - even tho' she used to be employed by WORK WHEELS JAPAN at one stage and is interested in GT-Rs.

Yeah I saw her in the magazine! I would definitely need to think twice about taking out a four week old child to an event like that, so it does show her passion and love for the car!!!

I sure do hope this gets put back into the active view.

Everyone needs to go to Speedhunters as the article i wrote (along with Xmetals photos) have been featured!

Thanks Bobby!

Thought i'd update with a more appropriate link:

Speedhunters

Nice one mate. Love the choice of photos too :P

but I'm beginning to think I should change my number plate; 1983 doesn't make me sound that young any more!

Thanks Nick - That article of yours is more than 'gloss goss'; with quite of a bit of thought put into it!

It's nice to re-cap...

    • Due to series of unfortunate events the 32 is currently my daily. Fuel economy and jungle gym aside it has not been too bad to drive around. That was until the ol' Varex decided that ~15 years and ~8 of those years on E85 was enough. The butterfly valve separated from the motors' shaft and managed to wedge/weld its self in the closed position. the varex when rapped sounded like there wasn't any packing left in it either. New Vibrant 3" muffler was selected to go in. While it is a shame to lose the quiet mode, the new Vibrant muffler definitely gives a more mellow/rounded tone which sounds great. To me it also sounds louder than the varex was open... so there is that. sorry neighbours
    • Down shifting = Right gear, right RPM, right road speed! Try rev matching on the down shift
    • Why would you ever need to "hard change down" from 5th to 4th? Any time you're in 5th and need serious accel, you're looking to go down to 3rd or maybe even 2nd, anyway. Just treat your 30 year old gearbox with some respect.
    • Anyone else have a grinding issue changing from 5th to 4th gear. I have no issues 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. But the car seems to grind a little when I do 5th to 4th …    is this a common issue? Had it from the last owner. Bit annoying as I can’t hard shift down. Feels like I have to push a little to the left to get it smoother into gear.    thanks
    • I would, especially if the car has had a few start ups or short trips to move it around  But then I'm anal as fark about oil changes, as oil is cheap, and servicing is fun.....
