I've got an 89 A31 (and an 89 R32). Cefiros are rare in the US. I only know of one besides mine. I plan on drifting it.

Some info:

Factory 5-speed

Cheap ebay front mount ic

Custom exhaust

Bosch 040 fuel pump

KSRom ECU - Was already in the car, don't know the tuning

Custom one-piece drive shaft

Cusco coilovers on the front & Tein on the back. - Getting replaced with Powered-by-Max coilovers

Z32 brake & 5-lug conversion

Braided brake lines

Stock r32 wheels on the front & 17x8 +30 Work Equips on the back

Nice looking cars, bet you get some strange looks with the ceffy? even if it's a track only car lol

Most people think it's just a funny looking car but there are a few that are almost hostile about it.. I usually get harassed by the V8-Muscle-Car guys when I go to the track. But they are beginning to respect RB motors!

Are you allowed to drive it on the road if it's right hand drive?

Right hand drive isn't a problem. We have crazy emissions and safety laws that take a large mountain of paperwork and money to comply with. I still haven't been able to get the R32 registered.

Isn't the usual trick over there to acquire the VIN plate from a crashed 240SX and then "repair" your 240SX by welding in a Skyline shaped chassis around the remaining part of the 240?

Did you get the Ceffy registered at all? Presumably as a Maxima.

I don't even want to talk about all the hoops I had to jump through for registration. Lets just say I don't want to go through that again. Ever.

How ironic, when Detroit is churning out those massive SUV's

Feel sorry for you mate!

My turbo died. Long live the turbo!

It's a Holset HE351. Very similar to the HX35.

Still have stock injectors so it leans way out and pulls timing.

With a bad tune and weak injectors it made 288hp (215rwkw) on 18 psi.

I'll post up a dyno chart when I get some injectors and a good tune.

Looks good man!

Any more mods for the Ceffy before drifting?

Nice R32 GTR! A rear sight in the USA, so I guess your lucky!

Pics of the R32 engine?

Yeah... Um... Get some better offset wheels :D

Nice looking Ceffy mate.

What kit is that you've got on? Looks like a modified factory kit, but not quiet an Autech kit ?

Looks awesome...except for your Intercooler not sitting level, that looks a bit weird, make sure you cable tie that back up properly hey ? haha

The kit was on the car when I bought it. I don't know what it is, but it's not Autech. The intercooler is level now. I cut some off the crash guard to make it fit.

Must just be a modified factory kit? Did you get the car from Japan, or somewhere else ??

Front bars have to be cut in any case to fit a FMIC in, which sucks, over here cops love to give us trouble for it, apparently painting them black makes them invisible ? Havent tried it yet, but I know a black intercooler would make a white / light colored Ceffy look f**king mean.

    • Depends how low and tyre size. Should fit with natural camber, skinny tyres and rolled guards.
    • Hi guys, planning to get 18x9 +25 in fronts and 18x10 +25 in rears been reading the whole thread and cant really find anything   Anyone know if these will fit a r34 gtt with no scrubbing or guard work needed?
    • They usually get made by hand as part of any such swap.
    • Was planning on getting an R35 MAF and the adapter, should this be okay? Also any idea where I could get my hands on an intake pipe?
    • I mean yes, if you're starting from scratch on an unknown engine yes you don't need to be doing all kinds of math in the background but if you're doing relatively minor changes like AFM + injectors + boost up with some aftermarket turbos it takes quite a bit of math if you want to do something like maintain OEM fuel + timing tables but compressed and then a bit more load scale up top. I think I've spent too much time working on big engineering nightmares though so I'm a big fan of trying to constrain the scope of whatever work I'm doing as much as possible and trying to get it right before moving on. For example, a local owner just did the usual E85 + single turbo conversion to his R32 GTR and nearly burned his car to the ground doing some spirited driving up the local mountains. Turbine is unshielded and too close to the hood insulation. It's tough to balance "just get the project done" and "seemingly small details can cause massive setbacks I'm not willing to deal with".
