This discussion went very quiet, what's the gossip :)

Hopefully everything is still on target for your new car Punk72.

Shoot us an update, I'm on the Central Coast at the moment and I'm not sure if I will be in the Sydney region on Tuesday.

See how I go, mobile is 0438 242 573 and email is [email protected]

yeah yeah all good :D , hell excited about Tuesday :D , Not sure if i m going to have time to meet up,

I have a meeting at the bank 12ish and then picking up the car about 1.30 ish and then i might be meeting a friend (depends if he can get off work) I would like to get to gundagai at a sensible time for a bit of shut eye (and beer)

It would be good to meet up but i don't want to be running around to much as i have never been to sydney and have no idea where anythng is! Thanks for the invite

Sorry, I thought you were planning to drive back the day after you picked it up.

Bit different if you want to get part way home that afternoon.

If time allows anyway, let me know, myself and Nick (Goldzilla) (providing he has his car back from the air con workshop) can drive and meet you somewhere so you don't have to drive all the way to Blacktown.

yeah i would have liked to stay up there a bit longer, we are a bit under staffed at work at the moment so i was trying to keep them happy, should have taken the whole week off!!

I should know tonight if i will have time to meet up, i have just been looking at the map and it wouldn't take long to do a little detour out towards your guys.

I would like nothing more than a drive around the Tasmanian Coastline.

It's meant to be a good trip.

Not to worry about tomorrow, I'm not even sure what time I will get back to Blacktown as I am still tied up on the Central Coast :verymad:

If things change and you have a spare hour or two you can SMS me on 0438 242 573 just in case I'm back that way.

you will freak out putting it on the ferry( minimal distance front rear and sides) you'll probably want to sleep down there with it  but seriously you can get doored real easy on the ferry, hope it all works out ok for you and enjoy the trip........guess you'll take the bass hwy back to launnie, if the boat gets in am you should take the exeter hwy ( to much wildlife at night) and give her a blast.........goodluck & happytrails.

hello hello, i and the car have made it back in piece.

the trip went very smoothly, i learnt a few things on my trip, like dont drink a large coffee before you get on a plane, i thought i was going to explode!

If you plan on going on a large road trip for god sakes remember to bring some cds along!!!!!!!!!!!!! what made it worse was the cd player wasnt from this country which meant FM went from 60 to 90 hz (it could only pick up 3 channels, Opra being three of them) I now know every sound that my car makes

If you ever go on the spirt of tasmania never and i mean never get the ocean veiw recliners O my god i think i only got about 3 hr sleep

One scary thing that did happen was straight after picking the car up i heard a clicking noise so i pulled in to a servo and while i was filling the car up

i had a quick look from where the noise was coming from and it turn out that two of the wheels had loose wheel nuts and im talking loose loose! Just think wow!

I cant drive the car for the next week as i have to put it over the pits and get it regesterd as the car came with a three day temp registration which will save paying two lots of stamp duty. ( in theroy)

Love the car, it sits really nice on the road, going to spend this weekend putting a new stereo in it and maybe a polish

thats enough about the trip, i do have a couple of questions,

at the very back of the gear box a little past the transfer case there is a hard rubber block/cube and just after that there is a hose of some kind that comes out, just trying to figuer out what its for as after the 1000km i ticked up there is a small amount of fresh oil build up around where the hose goes into the gear box the hose has heat shield stuff around it (factury not after market)

there is a canister of hydrolic fluid in the right rear, hicas maybe?

i have a sound that 2 seconds after coming to a dead stop the sound will stop, sounds like a dirty bearing/pump is there any hydrolic pump for the hicas or any thing like that that would do that you can only just hear it

any input would be good

PS love the stagea

It is all part of the 'Attessa' system. Hydraulic res. in right rear is like a brake master cyl. There is a pump in there somewhere and pressure line is what is fitted up to back of transfer case. The pressure line runs into a castiron block that is held on by 2 bolts i think. Block has bleed nipple aswell. If we are talking about the same thing, I had the same problem (leak). I had Pete Lockett at 'Fuel Tech Auto' at Kingsmeadows have a look at the problem today. Take your wagon there for him to have a look at. Happy boosting!! Go the Stagea!!

yeah that sounds right, man there is alot of shit under there, I didnt think the oil felt like gear box oil, They are such a cool car i cant wait to get i on the road

again, next wednesday i should have it registered

hey all

the car is now registered and ready for action! I took it over the pits and got new plates today so i can finally drive it around.

I took it to boost automotive in invermay and they where very helpful with all questions and they actually new what they where talking about so i think i will be taking the car there for its services :P

Congrats, you must be pretty excited :(

You'll probably round the km's up pretty quick too, I've only had mine for a month and a bit and I'm nudging 3500 km's lol Mind you my bank account is getting emptied out on fuel costs :(

From memory you took out a Warranty (Sapphire Blue?) when you purchased the vehicle. Make sure you read the warranty, for my car <100,000 km's and < than 10 years old, the vehicle MUST be serviced atleast every 10,000km's and the invoice/receipt from the servicing agent MUST be mailed to Sapphire within a certain time frame OR the warranty is void. Make sure you have a read and work out what conditions etc. apply to yourself to avoid any issues with the warranty, if you havn't already!

Enjoy the new ride :)

yeah there is alot of conditions, it makes you think that are trying to get out of any claims that they could so you are right about making sure every thing is

done properly!

cheers for the heads up
