does anyone know what mods the winfield gtr had?

It would be easier to make a list of the things that weren't modified, I reckon. After seeing just a small damaged part off this car recently, I'd safely say no stone was left unturned. Beautiful no expense spared engineering! :worship:

Some info & vids here; http://www.skylinesa...d/page__st__360

But just the tip of the iceberg surely.

Well doing some research On the bathurst track i seen that 2:12min was the record for a R32 GTR back in 91/92 I think i saw tat a stock R35 did it in 2.25min.

records for v8s are:

The lap record for the race is the 2:08.4651 recorded by Jamie Whincup in his Ford BF Falcon in 2007,[1] not to be confused with the fastest lap ever recorded, a 2:06.8012 set during practice in 2010 by Holden driver Craig Lowndes.[2]

But i wonder with all the new technology now modding an r32 GTR would even challenge todays v8 Supercars.. AMAZING

its funny this thread was revived as i had the exact same conversation with my brother last night!

thanks for the lap time info, just what i need :)

You must be talking only v8 supercabs for outright record.

I was at Bathurst for this, and the record belongs to F1;

geez stevo - thanks for sharing, what a clip! the camera could only keep up with its zoom haha

I still remember Carlings 300ZX kicking butt at Gold Coast Indy all those years ago. Was a real shame Kayne Scotts Peanut Slab Sierra got caught up in shipping and didnt qualify and had to start from the back of the grid. Would have been great to see those cars go head to head.

Mind you no disrespect to Keith, but I suspect he needed a little more car to get the job done vs Kayne who I think was a better steerer
