Went and saw it on the weekend with the wifey, and she had this strange

"Oh my god, there are other people just like you out there" look on her face.

Oh and i spotted 3 Skylines in film :-)

saw it a couple weeks back at the drives ins and enjoyed very much

loved the bit where jeremy clarkson goes to him "u race a 600hp car at 100% on leaf springs . . . . . r u out of ur mind"

Indeed. I learned to drive in an XB falcon and it is by far the worst handling car I have ever driven. Bana was brave to take it down there.

I understand his reluctance to start fixing it, I get the same feeling every time after somethign expensive breaks. You really do put everything into a car to get it ready and you feel gutted when something bad goes wrong - you need a real motivation to start again.

At that same targa we:

broke a caster rod mid stage

lost a fuel pump (wiring tore loose)

smashed the transfer case and gearbox selector.

the car got towed home and wasn't touched for 6 months even though the engine was fine

I saw it last night, to be honest it wasn't as good as I expected. A lot of time was taken up with just targa footage - can watch that stuff on tv whenever. I would have liked more of the talkies with Clarkson, Jay and Phil discussing revhead psyche. Prolly get it on dvd though

Good to see someone doing something they love with their success though - any rich bastard can buy a ferrari and tell everyone how good it is, respect to Eric for doing what most of us wish we could afford to do.
