Just to annoy you Bris - here's the footage on how easy it is to run a 1.50.1 in a GT-R :nyaanyaa:

http://www.viddler.com/explore/Snowmann/videos/2/

Thats why i couldnt enjoy a GTR, it all looks easier then it is, and there is way too little drama :(. I would rather pilot my thing....keeps you so much busier

heh yeah i'm with you bris....

thats probably one of the most boring vids i've eva seen....

its all about the excitment...

I'd much rather be excited doing my 2:04 than be bored doing a 1:50....

On that note.... Firman picked up a 2:04.55 in the 180B

my current best is a 2:04.97 :nyaanyaa:

keeping in mind that my car has 2.5 times the power of Firmans!!!

Seems I have some work to do....

Lol 1:50 might be easy in a heavily modded GTR by RP but try it in a fairly std one and you won't be bored chasing a 1:49 :nyaanyaa:

speaking of the noise... that is a flawed system. if tim can get away with gate and scotsman gets pinged with la di da benno special super silent exhaust then somebody is smoking too much crack.

we stay less than 2k from the track and there is no way we would be able to hear the gtr more than tims or brisbys car.

I like the current system :nyaanyaa:

Strange that, but must just be the frequency it's at. I didn't have EPA issues at Sandown either with the open 'gate.

Sorry to hear Matt, hope the engine is all good.

It's not easy - its just smooth

There's a difference. Sometimes backing off a bit and being smooth is actually faster. You should try it one day Bris

Ah, something about the grass being a different colour over other side of the fence...you needed to have driven my car when James and Juz drove it with the Bilsteins and old suspension. You often joke but i dont think you realised just how hard my car used to be to drive.

I can promise you that the vids of me driving it required me to be smooth and delicate with inputs, it may not look like it but i was. Well , i was driving it smoothly to the best of my ability. Just ask Juz how much she enjoyed drivng it with the Bilsteins?

It was so much better with the new suspension, and should be a lot better now i have most of the bushes etc replaced so no more slop.

You can see in the above vid,

You can see in the above vid, half the reason it looked all over the place is the fact that it used to pitch all over the place on its soft suspension at high speeds so slight throttle adjustment gave it pretty bad lift off oversteer. Anyway, you are winding me up....which is not a nice thing to do to a guy that is itching to get his car back on the track. :)

Had a really good day, First time at PI and it was great.

That track is just so far above anywhere else I have drivin.

Russman:

Slow time thanks to super cheap drift spec tires on the rear and ok streets on the front, cold track , rain , mass oil attack and first time there, Although it was good to have shit tires in a way as It helped me to find the smoothest line around which will be good for next time.

Frysy:

Harden up and get some gate! lol .

I honestly dont know how Scotsman got done and I didnt, I can understand in the morning sessions as I was pussy footing it around but in the arvo I thought I would get done for sure. luck of the draw I guess.

Bris , im keen for us to attack PI side by side im sure that will send the db meter into overload.

Very enjoyable day for me , feel sorry for the blokes who took bent cars home.

sandown 2 weeks . should be good.
