Hey!

The summer is coming around up here in sweden and its getting hotter and hotter, so now is the time for the power window to.. welll work

I've pulled the doorside apart and checked the relay, works as it should, also the motor give a 'click' when i've pressed the button for about 3 seconds. This goes for both directions.

The power window engine is getting hot when i've tried to use it several times so its getting current.

What do you think? Could it be a bracket or bar that has jammed up or has the engine gone bye bye?

Cheers!

When my window stopped working, I pulled the switch assembly apart and the copper contacts were all eroded and dirty. I just cleaned them up and it still works good as new. Not sure if this is what you mean you have done already but if not, give it a go.

That could help, i do hear both the relay and engine click but if the contact is bad it might not get efficient current.

I guess i could test that by feeding the engine directly, bypassing any relay, switch or contacts :P

THX for your comment!

I've been working on the exact same problem for the last 2 days now. After reading every thread related to this power window problem i've gone through every possible remedy. Ive taken apart the switch and cleaned/resoldered. Ive taken apart the "window amp", the black control box behing the door trim and cleaned/resoldered it. And after all this, nothing. So obviously following the chain to the window i used my general persuader (hammer) on the motor in the door. Each hit? About 5cm progress of the window closing.

Needless to say Ill be sourcing a new motor tomorrow. I just wanted to post this as pretty much every post on here comes to the conclusion its the little black box. The motor does just as much work! yet gets no love...
