Ati Harmonic Balancers For Rb26 In A Bnr32

Would a too tight, or too loose belt play a part ? My last belt I suspect was a it too tight

I have the same balancer on mine, but l only rev it to 7 and haven't had an issue

I did spit a few belts with the 1000 HP ATI I had in years ago down at Huntley hill climb. I THINK that way AC. Stretching my memory here.

The AC clutch will disengage after generally around 5500rpm as damage to the pump can occur, your issue is an alignment one. I run the ati 1000hp on a 540wkw car with no issue, from day dot.

Rev the shit of it and have aircon... (when not revving the shit out of it obviously) would be the goal.

From memory the air balancer is 1/3rd overdrive for the a/c, so 8000 even would be giving the ac a lot more speed than a normal one. Thst being said if there's no load and it's alignment is good it should stay on

Looking into buying a balancer for my rb26,

Planing to make  500 plus kw, 

is the 1000hp ati balancer the way to go or should I buy a brand new stock balancer ?

Has anyone solved the need to remove AC belt with the ati 1000hp balancer when racing 

like with a another external idler bearing or  something

Why not an underdrive pulley on the air con side to slow it back down?

Don't know, I'm asking. We do overdrive water pump pulleys with underdriven balancers, to speed the pumps back up, seems logical to do the reverse

Sorry for bumping an old thread. Has anyone else's steering gotten heavier with a 1000hp ati balancer installed?

Yes. At idle anyway. Under normal revs it should feel fine. The water pump and power steering are underdriven by design.

AC is overdriven so your AC output in your ECU should be disengaged above 3500rpm or so.
