So it arrived Wed night after that post and naturally I was out there tearing down the dash 10 minutes later. All in all an extremely easy install, didn't even get to use my soldering skills, all plug and play! Though I had dismantled the dash before to install my FM expander so that part was very familiar.

Currently I have the whole ashtray & cig lighter assembly out whilst I work out a way to neatly integrate the dock in there, so there is a gaping hole with the cable coming out. How does it work with the iphone 3g running 3.0 firmware? Excellent, no complaints. Steering wheel controls work, sounds is crystal clear, I even listen to my podcasts of various Triple J segments instead of the radio cause the quality is better.

On that other connector, my opinion would be don't risk it. The PA11-NIS works perfectly, and this other one doesn't appear to have any additional benefits (song text doesnt work with the pre 06 V's with any connector)... so go with what you know.

So, now time to work out the best way to integrate the dock, suggestions welcome. I will take some happy snaps of install to date and post next week.

Woo nice to hear that iphone 3.0 works. on both mode? The Direct and Playlist mode?

Just ordered mine via US ebay. cant wait!!!

Can anyone confirm if Crankin' Car Audio is still operational?

The website is down, is Hakki still in business?

I've got a HRIII DVB-T on the way and was going to talk to Hakki about doing the install for me, and possibly looking at doing ipod/ipad/iphone integration at the same time.

If anyone has been there lately please let me know.

I can't find any PA-11NIS from ebay anymore....what can i do?

It looks like it has been upgraded to a new model the PA15-NIS, so look for one of those on ebay or just google it and find a place that will ship it to Australia.

See the website for details. http://www.usaspec.com

    • I thought it was just if “the modification effected/caused the incident”
    • Ok, good to know. I have open loop I think, I forgot which ones which but I am running the o2 sensor, brand new and I got a new boost solenoid because my last one was faulty and overboosting by a lot, but it's still technically overboosting. Haven't really bothered to hunt it down as I don't send it hard regularly.
    • You should not be able to see much smoke behind you if the mixtures are good - for ~13-14 psi anyway. It's not like you need to be running hell rich for only that much boost/load. Your tune might be a tad too rich. The tuner might have done that because they like to run a lot of timing. It's impossible to know what's going on from here. It won't be the actuator. It won't be the MAP sensor. Regardless of if by "MAP sensor" you mean either the Neo ECU's boost sensor (which is literally only that, a boost sensor so that the ECU knows a) that it's achieving boost, and b) that it is not overboosting) or you mean the dash gauge's MAP sensor (because it can't have any effect at all), or you mean the boost controller's MAP sensor (because it is very unlikely that it is running in closed loop, and so it is effectively just used to know when the pressure goes positive and so you can see the boost on the display, for the most part).
    • Yeah, they'll find anything they can. "Oh aftermarket ecu, that doesn't comply with emissions" lol.
    • See, I still thought it was 10 posts, and she was at 7 so I couldn't be bothered going in and fixing it when the fix was to simply post 3 more times. 8 more times....perhaps I should have.
