hello all, had my car dyno'd and tuned last week, have bosch 044 fuel pump still with standard fuel pressure reg, and was told the the fuel pressure at idle is to high, hence making the car idle really rich and at around 1100rpm. Was told the the standard fuel pressure reg cannot physically bypass enough fuel back to the tank and could be putting excess load on the fuel pump at idle.

I am running,

Safc, bosch 44 fuel pump, 11psi boost, front mount.

Was interested if anyone else running similar setups to this has an aftermarket fuel pressure reg, if so what brand? did u install it yourself and if anyone has any idea wat the correct fuel pressure should b in the fuel rail at idle?

Any help/feedback would be greatly appresiated

think 40ish is standard. i got a nismo running at 42 psi. have a walbro fuel pump. no idle issues. got my tuner to set it up when the hi flow when on as still running standard injectors, gives me a little bit of head room.

i've got the standard 25 fpr, had the car tuned with a bosch 910 (~400hp pump) then swapped to an 044 and it didnt change the idle at all. fuel reg ended up dying and replaced it with another stocker and its still fine

370rwkw, Bosch 040 external pump - factory fuel reg

Sounds like if anything your fuel reg might be stuffed, or the return line somehow blocked,

You do not need an aftermarket reg, you have a problem elsewhere.

hey again, am lucky enough 2 have a house mate with an r33 gtst wid similar mods. His car idle's perfectly so i swapped my fuel press reg with his and still the same thing. Since then my car has started 2 stall randomly. Someone suggested my air flow meter is stuffed, but that has been swapped as well still with no difference. Has anyone had issuses similar 2 this? Please help!
