Sorry for absence. I've been trying to restore 700 gig of files from a crashed hard drive, and dig through stuff for money to get those Advans.

Fun. I lost a 3.5TB RAID array once. only had about 2TB of stuff on it but, and I managed to get most of it back. Lost a few movies and TV shows though

Yeah, still going on my revcovery. Looks like I'm going to lose all my movies though, it won't transfer anything larger than 600mb. Slowly salvaging my tv shows and songs. one file at a time....

Recovering the RAID array was even more balls - had to de-stripe it with 6 good drives and one partially failed drive (out of 8 drives, 1 failure was recoverable but I lost 2), and not knowing what order the striping was done in
