Most shops are not specialists in 31's or 13's. SOooooooooooo Chances are you'll pass easily.

You boys hsould just get a mobile roady guy to do it for you. They care not for such discrepancies

R31 tie rod ends into S13 spindles looks spectacularly dodgy. You either have a castle nut with no split pin in it, or an upside down caslte nut, either way you don't get many threads on it. Thats the sort of thing I would expect to fail a RWC, but hey, I may be wrong

be careful where you say that... that's enough to be stripped of your 31 club membership :P

Not if he re-uses oil and a filter from his GTR or something

Anyone who's not working/busy on Thursday and wants to come on this drive:

let me or Jason know. We'll be leaving from the BP at Aspley at 9am.

hmmm... might take a 'strayen day...

GTR filter didnt fit :P Had to use an old one of dads...

Yeah tie rods will look dodge. I'll see if I can find a rubber cover for the castle nut lol

looks like a decent drive, but I will have to sort out my camber a bit before i do any fun runs, as the tyres scrub lightly on hard corners.

Man up. My tires scrub heavily on light corners, doesn't stop me :P

so do mine. I usually just steer with the back end instead.

The noise drives me nuts though.

And having 225's on 10 inch rims, I really don't have much confidence in the tyres staying on the rim if I corner particularily hard

I might get some gtr guards though, so will be able to put decent sized rubber on the fronts

ps. still got the flu, so another day of ps3. got god of war last night, so will give that a workout. just gotta summon up the energy to go for a bourbon run...

skip the boring highway bit...

Go from Aspley up through Petrie, head to Dayboro and then over Mt Mee...

This will bring you out at Woodford...

This way you skip all the boring highway bits and Mt Mee is an awesome ride/drive...

As from Woodforf the rest is good stuff, out to Kilcoy down the back of sommerset and over Mt Glo & Nebo and home...

Looks like my average northside Sunday ride...

    • Ha ha, all good! I've almost caved in and realised I'm buying one.  I know myself well enough by now that I will start chasing ADHD butterflies half way through building it and not finish it so I'm better off spending the extra money buying one instead of making one just so I can get into straight away.  I would very much enjoy making one as fabrication is probably a strength and definitely a passion but I don't want that to be at the detriment to the car I'm ultimately building it for! There's some pretty good ones around for ~$1100 at the moment so I think I'll just go that way.  At the end I sell it or as mentioned, get another project to make further use of it! Thanks gents.
    • That link was very helpful thank you.
    • That is the option code, not the VIN. Regardless all of that production is considered series 2: https://gtr-registry.com/en-ecr33-vin-table.php
    • Apologies if I sounded like a arse My point was that you will not be able to buy a rotisserie that suits your car, you get the rotisserie frame, and then fabricate parts to mount the rotisserie frame to the body The rotisserie side is easy, but the fabrication of the actual mounts is the tricky part, where to mount so you don't bend/twist the body, plus the geometry involved to get it to turn  If your capable at fabrication, and can work out where the C/L is in relation to the weight is so it actually can turn, you should be sweet I would love to see the progress on this just for the thought processes and fabrication
