Yeah Kenmore is not bad either. I'd say go for the Nando's there rather than the maccas as there are more seats n stuff.

Yea, that wouldn't be too bad car park should be alright unless heaps of people go to the woolies for late night shopping.

But yea, maccas, fuel station over the road, fish and chips, few cafe's should be good.

Who said to move along? Baskins? The security? They specifically waited until Thursday 8 or 9pm to come and say something?

Owner of baskins sent colin a message, presumably on faceparty. I cbf going and finding it now but it was basically "you guys need to piss off because you are smoking, drinking, swearing, skidding too much".

almost all of which is total rubbish. But the guy is a freaking weiner so its to be expected.

the booze can be blamed on the one time us northies bought a few locals with us....sry bout that,......but they did spend money, which is what i thought shops were looking for people to do.

seems like they were just looking for an excuse...or got hastled one too many times by their neighbours.

Col i know of a good condition GTS-X shell just screaming for a project build. If you don't buy it i might have to.

To be fair, 10 guys rocking up, buying maybe 7-8 products isn't putting a dent in their business. they run an ice cream shop next to a uni in Brisbane. Heck even in winter they had some busy nights.

there are 2 total on carsales, one has been turned into a TTV8 and the other a neo...

i sold mine in 2004 for 10k... :cry:

just to upgrade to a boat... a very fast boat, but never the less a boat... :(

well this one needs some lovin' it's got a silvertop manual in it, im guessing it was last on the road about '04, if you were in the 31 skyline club on cruises back in the early 2000's you would have seen it.

That pic of Smitty on track is just pure horn. Easy to take when we were crawling along at five mile an hour I guess but speed can't be judged to well from a still photo.

      I remembered wrong, but was close though 1Kz setting because those Jaycar SSRs don't go any faster, 1x pump per SSR with flyback diodes & heatsinks. In saying that, the heatsinks are overkill. Just on an alloy plate is more than sufficient. You'll find without a flyback diode, your SSRs will heat up big time and also die prematurely.  I've been running the two same SSRs since the last motor, no issues, car does 2 hour straight drives in summer once in a while and gets punished on the track. Nothing melts, no hot messes, etc.

      Hmm. You're probably best off working out what the lobe centreline or even the LSA is for the stock cams, with VCT OFF. That's bound to be out there somewhere. Then, work on the assumption that the Kelford centreline is probably the same, and wouldn't be more than a couple of degrees away, if it is different at all. I'm very surprised that you needed to adjust the exhaust cam by 5° to get it on spec. That screams there's another problem somewhere. Anything from the belt being 1 tooth off (how many degrees is one tooth worth?) to simple user/measurement error on the degree wheel. I say this because Kelford, like most quality cam manufacturers these days, does a pretty good job of actually making the cams to spec, not relying on patching it up afterwards like we had to do back in the 80s.

      Besides packing it, you can also fill your pump through the oil filter inlet port. After cranking for what felt like an eternity without pressure, i fed a tube in through there and filled it with oil. Cranked for a few seconds after that and had pressure.

      My bet is there's a fuse somewhere you blew that feeds power to the ECU. Or you've bumped something out behind the dash board.
