Yeah I've got a job with them for life if I want it basically. There are Directors and other upper management people that all started where I am now which is encouraging. I won't graduate till 2012 so still a way to go with uni yet.

Vac Student = Vacation Student? like work experience kind of thing?

I work full time for them so its not really like the work experience thing.

Pretty much. But the good vac students we have are sorta like part times too. They'll come in whenever they dont have uni.

Thats cool. Nice to know everyone in the company and thats 1 of the reasons why I'm with mine now.

I wouldn't be surprised with anything you do lol

What are you looking at doing now?

It actually has some theory behind the madness. Technically to dabble in my own developments without paying too much outsourcing for people to oversee things, you need or need certain aspects of a builder’s license.

I am looking at working for someone who can offer a trade, which is a % towards a builder’s license. However the position isn’t an apprenticeship or anything.

Essentially I’m more of less looking at ways of bypassing certain parts of uni if I was to do a degree in property development and or dabble in my own ventures by making it easier.

I'm kinda shifty.. But it's legit and done often.

    • Got bored took photos of the sub I made. Original enclosure had 2x 10" Peerless drivers in an Isobaric configuration.  Although sounding nice, wasn't good for movies so I took both drivers out and sold them and replaced it with a single Dayton 10" HF series driver. The front baffled needed to be enlarged to fit the driver (something I didn't account for lol). Then of course the original 150W RMS Jaycar plate amps wasn't up to scratch and the driver would clip/bottom out, so an O-Audio 500W RMS plate amp was fitted. A year later, got bored and wanted more output, used WinISD and calculated I would get about -3dB roll of at about 21Hz with a 4" port and I think about 30cm long or so. Has been like that for over a decade, until a few months ago the amp would randomly hum as though I've taken out the RCA out and earth it against the chassis of the amp. Tested with another sub (Focal Dome, now sold) and RCA nor receiver were the issues. Concluded plate amp is fked. Took the grill off for a photo.
    • As it is so original, and in mint condition, and they have ceased making 35s, I am thinking of keeping it original (not even going to do the English conversion).   On the other hand, I am looking at Quadzilla mid pipes, Cobb units...
    • Apparently announced on Instagram just this week; I can't access it and nothing on their website Their GTR TCM information is here: https://ecutek.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360001830657-Tuning-Your-TCM
    • HA!!! Having the same issue so dropped the car off at Chasers Performance to get the codes.  I could never give it gas while turning. And it stalled at lights for the first time on my way to the mechanic today!
    • Pretty sure that the Ecutek can also tune the TCM for quicker gear changes as well
