i just got a 044 for my 32 gtst.. but there is no strainer.. just a fitting hole at the base.. what are people doing with their install?

044 pumps are designed to push fuel...not suck fuel like the STD pump...hence no strainer. Just put it in...it has a strainer built into the base of the pump (just look inside it)

I figured to get a 044 cos i wana go larger hp in a couple years.. but after reading all that CBF doing that atm, il wait til i get the power and then il upgrade.. so i have organised a 040 instead.. least then i can just modify the bracket and drop it in

i installed an 044 with an earls fitting on the end of it and it sat perfectly in the r32 fuel tank while using the stock pump bracket. it was the least hassle install ive ever done.

044 in a 32gtst style tank here.. using a fitting from pirtek with a sock filter from ford spare parts.. works a treat. Didn't really trust the 044 screen.

+1

Except I paid Hyperdrive $220 to source the fittings and filter, install and rewire.
