Rb30 Bottom End Question

posting up for a mate

he has a rb30 bottom end, it was a series 1 or something, anyhow it doesnt have the oil squirter jets that squirt oil into your pistons.

as the pistons he pulled out of it were shattered ( motor was turbo'd and wasnt originally turbo)

is he wasting his time if he spends money building this engine up or can u turbo them without the oil jets or should he just get the series 2? bottom end with the oil squirterS?

he is spending money on new pistons so he doesn't want them to shatter.

If its not recommended that you use them for turboing i assume there will be a rb30 bottom end that has been crack tested and cleaned etc for sale!

rb30s don't have oil squirters in either series, the advantage of using s2 block is that the oil and water lines have been taped for the turbo

That only applies with the Vl donk also, all r31s are turbo ready.

Got a skyline rb30 reco'd head taking up room in shed. All the bits there, just needs seals, clean, plane & ass. Also have 2 rb30 oil pumps in good nic.
