Hicas Light

Hey guys, just had a questions about my HICAS, for some reason when driving (only on Highways) for a few minutes my HICAS light turns on, I've read some other threads but they arn't much help, just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem and if it should be a concern, I have the standard airbag Nissan steering wheel and my power steering fluids are up to scratch, not sure what else to check

dont worry bout it matey... on highways your hicas system becomes active ( >80kph ) and it will happen from time to time...

i removed mine... but used to have the same prob when it was there

There might be a leak in the system, even a tiny leak will trigger it from memory.

just kill it... lock bar is $50 and a bit of your time

Take it to your mechanic and do a Wheel Alignment.

Check Power Steering fluid and sensor.

Check the steering wheel sensor.

Diagnose the HICAS system.

Run thought in that order to isolate what the problem is.

Are all your wheels and tyres the same size? if your tyres are worn on the inside that can mess with it to.
