Boost curve with VNT system fully engaged and fully disengaged:

Saw this on facebook. Looks very fun to drive, I bet it feels insane

Just wondering the response from a slightly smaller VNT turbo would be like around 350rwkw. I havent even got the ss2 ceramic bearing turbo I bought off you yet and I already want a VNT :P

So good to see the amount of effort and time you put into these turbos. Looks like its really paying off :)

It made 250rwkws by 4000rpms. It provides very consistent Gforce, turbo comes in with very little throttle and pulls crazy. I should be able to get 20psi by 3600RPMs with few more hours of dyno time like what the fully engaged and disengaged boost graph shown, then disengage after it reaches that point. I can now control how much lag I want with a boost controller. :D

Just some Feedback:

I Brought an SS1PU from Stao about a year ago and the guy who fitted it played with the wastegate instead of listening to me and Stao, It still performed well but last week my new tuner listened to me and adjusted the gate and holy crap is this turbo a good fit for my car. I want to pass on positive feedback about the product and Stao's after sales support of his product.

I should note I am getting closer to having my SS1PU powered S14 (SR20) on the road, and the turbo is SAVAGE. The effect of the FNT rear housing is quite obvious, and you can really tell how much difference it makes as you drive a little heavier footed.


Last night I had a guy with a built LS1 powered S14 look over the car and was shocked at the delivery, he was struggling to put it to words.

Stao really knows what he is doing :)

    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
    • Actually I might have figured out. Looks like there is a tab according to google images but it's hidden. Silly me.
    • No clips on this one like the other connector. Only that red tab that I can push slightly up.
    • For any loom connector that has an obvious release that resists pushing far enough to unclip, just spray some silicone lube into it. You might also benefit from using a bent screwdriver or small pick to push in the right place at the right angle.
