hypergear
Some updates. This is in relation to the ATR43G3 turbocharger. This prototype runs our latest rear wheel, how ever I will be installing it into a smaller rear hopping for more power while retaining the same drive ability. Test car is currently on E85, the goal would be 350rwkws+ on 20psi with full boost reached by or before 4000RPMs. In which should achieve 300rwkws at 20psi on pump 98 fuel. Dose Pipe Sutututu
^ just curious, for those results, why wouldn't you just get s SS2? hypergear
I usually make a base model and tune it against its older version. If it is a success then integrate the SS compressor for better response. So both models gets upgraded. iruvyouskyrine
Stao what are your thoughts on an external gate SS2 on an RB25/30 running E85? Looking to run about 15psi. Would the turbo choke the engine? hypergear
Its fine. Makes the same power on much lower boost on a Rb30det motor. iruvyouskyrine
Excellent, i didn't think it would become that much of a restriction. Good news! Also, sorry for such a noobish question, but what size is the rear housing on the SS2? .82? Adz2332
do you have the graph of the ss3 and ss2 overlaid? hypergear
Not overlaid you will have to read them. Results trailed in mine is only in the Alpha version. Normal version would be 300RPMs behind. SS2: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-395 SS3: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-409 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-turbochargers-and-high-flow-services-development-thread/page/473/#findComment-7219462 Share on other sites
Adz2332
sorry to be a pain! so the ss3 you gain an extra around 30kws but gain 500 to 1000 revs more lag? over the ss2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-turbochargers-and-high-flow-services-development-thread/page/473/#findComment-7219519 Share on other sites
hypergear
No the SS3 is about 300rpms laggier then SS2. The power / response trade is: 1KW:10RPMs. Take the SS Alpha trailed for example: SS2 makes 383rwkws 20psi by 3500RPMs SS3 makes 407rwkws 20psi by 3800RPMs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-turbochargers-and-high-flow-services-development-thread/page/473/#findComment-7219542 Share on other sites
