1000whp 300ZX is not something I come across every day. Powered by two of our ATR43SS-2 turbos externally gated on E85 fuel. Dyno maxed at 905rwhp @ 35psi

Actually Tao, Prabaths 300ZX did 940rwhp on Trents dyno maxing out the torque at 1200nm.

I bought a 21u g3 used and it has minimal shaft play side to side , none front and back, and doesnt rub anywhere. previous owner said he ran at 19psi on rb20. do you think i should be concerned with the side to side shaft play or is it acceptable?

All turbos need to have a small movement in the shaft as the bearings relys on that clearance for rotation and oil delivery, you can that as bearing clearance. I say there should be nothing wrong with it since it came out of a fully working car. Assume its a bush bearing high flow, must make sure it runs an -4 oil line with no oil restrictors.

Updating on SAU about the latest result of the R34 GTR test car:

Back today at chequeredtuning with Tomei Pon cam Type B installed. Pretty interesting result to share as I never though it would make so much differences on a Rb26 engine. Using the same turbo and nothing else changed, car ended up making 444awkws @ 23psi, compare to stock cams, it made 31kws with 3psi less boost with waymore mid top end torque. It wasn't much laggier in response either.

Car has:
Stock R34 GTR Rb26 with APR head studs
HKS Cam gears 0 inlet, 0 exhaust.
Tomei 260 / 9.15 Pon cams
R35 GTR coil packs
Trigger kit
ID 1650cc injectors
Twin 540 Walbro pumps+11m fuel line
Apexi FMIC
Trust 3 inches turbo back exhaust
PS2000
Nismo Front mount cooler
T4 high mount exhaust manifold
HyperGear 50mm External gate
HyperGear ATR45SS-1 Rb26 T4 Vband rear turbocharger
Final result of 444awkws @ 23psi

Twicked this turbo alittle bit, Made same power, picked up another 500RPM of response and 100kws in mid range at same boost level or 23psi, still running out fuel even with an extra pump.  I think the original version of SS3Pro would peek 70kws more at full capacity.

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 馃槃  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
