Oil Meter On Gtr R32 (help Help)

hey guys

Need some help on oils for GTR R32. i have just got my R32 about 2 and a half weeks now. At first when i got the car the oil level was on HIGH and 2 n a half weeks later its between HIGH and LOW. What does it mean by this. Is my engine leaking or damaged or just crapy oil been used. Please help me out, I've been trying search for answers all day. Till i remember about this forums. I'll appreciate all your help.

Your car is burning oil.

All turbo cars burn oil, it's just a matter of how much oil it's actually burning.

Either that or it's leaking oil.

Top it up and then look for the cause (leaks or burning).

Same thing happened to me and it was the gauge itself. My mechanic tested it with a preasure tester (plugs into the socket where the oil preasure sensor goes) and proved that the oil preasure was still quite high (30psi vs 20psi on the gauge)

hey thank alot guys for the help. I'll give the car a top up first see if its oil burn or leaks and if its not any of that I'll go to my workshop and check out the pressure. thank again guys.

Are you talking about the reading from the oil pressure gauge in the instrument panel, or the oil level showing on the dipstick?

The gauge indicates OIL PRESSURE, which is pretty much unrelated to OIL VOLUME.
