have had a slight miss for quite some time, but it has only been evident inconsistently at idle and hot whilst driving.

decided to get off my ass and change the plugs which i had not done so since getting the car and it has done over 15,000kms since then. while i was there i did an oil/oil filter change as well.

so, changed to NGK copper heat range 6 and the problem got worse? what i seem to think is that the plugs have improved spark and this just exentuates the same problem rather than making it worse.

So i then reset the ECU and cleaned the AFM and a little bit better but still noticeably there.

what do you guys think?

i was thinking:

- clogged injector

- stuffed coil

is it worth chucking a bottle of injector cleaner in? or is that stuff bad?

please help!

Waz.

my car was missing, I took it in for a full service and for 'em to check this problem, they said one of my coil packs was not working properly and the timing was a bit off.

They fixed the timing, and no more missing!

maybe that might be the go for you...

0.8mm

i just checked the timing the other day and set it to 20deg so i doubt that would be hte problem

its very inconsistent. ie sometimes it will happen more and sometimes less. and i can't hear of feel anything when accelerating. that's why i'm thinking injectors.

oh, and at cold start the problem is pretty much non-existant only when the car warms up.

HELP!

Injectors can be cleaned at an EFI specialist, they clean them with a ultra-sonic method. (For more info on servicing injectors http://www.cruzinperformance.com/injsteps.html)

Although injector cleaner (fuel tank use) might show improvement its not as thorough as the ultra sonic method.

I had mine cleaned and tested and it turns out one even after cleaning only did 90mls to the 100mls. I changed the injector and fixed mine from missing at idle and cruisin.
