NEWS FLASH !

OK Guys & Gals - I just heard back from Aaron on a few points of clarification.

1) For anyone who decides to take advantage of the package deal (all three courses), but then cannot make it to a course because of being sick, work, etc - They can re-schedule that days course with Aaron on another day that Auto-Motion runs that same course (as long as there are places available). Obvioulsy the SAU group will not participate in the re-scheduled day.

2) For those who opt for the three course package - Revised payment options of 50% deposit payable by 31st October. Balance payable on or before the day of the first course (ie November 12th).

3) For those folks who wish to continue on and do the CAMS C3 Observed Licence Test - This is an additional days training. This day is normally $550 through Auto-Motion . BUT for SAU folks who take advatage of the 3 days training - Aaron has agreed to offer this C3 CAMs day at $220 ! That is less than half price !

Auto-motion are really looking after us here guys. So take advantage of this training - It will shave seconds off your lap times for less than the cost of a decent mod to your car !

Um, you mean like this Dino ?

Phase 1 - Oran Park Skid Pan November 12 (Wednesday) Normal price $220.00 Club price = $165.00

Phase 2 - Eastern Creek Skid Pan December 12 (Friday) Normal price $125.00 Club price = $110.00

Phase 3 - Oran Park Track January 23 2004 (Friday) Normal price $330.00 Club price = $275.00

Normal price $675.00 TOTAL COST = $550.00.

Additional CAMS C3 Training - Normal Price $550.00 Club Price $220 - Date TBA (Phase 1, 2, 3 are pre-requisites - I'm guessing, unless you can show advanced standing - I'll confirm this though)

Additional details for C3 to come.

* For package deal (either Phase 1,2 & 3 or Phase 1,2,3 & C3) Minimum deposit of 50% of entire course cost before October 31 - Balance required on first training day (Nov 12)

** For Single courses - Full confirmation and payment to Auto-Motion required before Oct 31 2003

*** Those who take package deal get SAU-NSW 2004 annual Membership for free. New members pay just the $15 application fee

Mark:

The CAMS licence structure has five levels, ranging from Level 1 (novice), through to level 5 (international). Levels 3 to 5 are discipline specific (e.g. Rally, Circuit, Off Road, Superkart), where a level 2 licence is for generic club motor sport.

Level 1

Licence used for club recruitment promotions, or a specific non-competitive part of a competitive event.

Level 2

Broken up into two parts, Level 2NS (NS for Non-Speed events), and Level 2S (S for Speed events). A level 2NS licence entitles the competitor to compete in events such as observed section trials, touring assemblies and non-timed road events, and motorkhana and khanacross events up to International level. A level 2S licence entitles the holder to compete in 2NS events plus regularity trials up to National Championship level, single and multi-car speed events (not racing) up to International level, and touring road events that do not run over closed road sections.

Level 3 and 4 (up to National Level)

Entitles the licence holder to compete in rallies, circuit events, off road or superkart events, depending on the type licence issued. The national licence has individual requirements specific to each discipline’s licence. Holding a licence at national level in one discipline does not entitle to race you in another discipline.

Level 5 (International Level)

The FIA licence, required to compete in International events. Again discipline specific, the licences have additional requirements to national licences.

(from CAMS web site)

In addition to B-Man's info on CAMS Licenses I can now issue L2S licenses to club members. You get a slip which is valid for 30 days and can use it as the license until the real one is sent out by CAMS head office in Melbourne.

How to apply Dino ? And is there a cost involved for L2S ?

$91.00

You have to get the form from me or CAMS Paramatta office (not available as download for some reason).

My price to hand over a form is a beer.(j/k) (no I'm not) (who said that? yes I am) :D

The Auto-Motion fax number is the same as the office number - 02 48722-622.

Fax those booking forms in guys - 2 weeks to go, to get these in - and 4 weeks until the first Stage !
