I was crawling around underneath the M35 having a bit of a sticky beak at what's at the back and found some nice red coil springs.

Upon closer inspection they are a Nismo product, they had 55320-RSM55 on them.

Can anyone shed any light on the specifications of these springs?

Bugger, I thought the product code might have shed some light on them.

Anyway, picture attached :P

If anyone else has these springs or can shed some light on them, let me know.

i have the same in my m35, they are Nismo S tune

you should also have matching s tune struts painted in gold with nismo stickers on it

they are a street orientated sus package, 20mm lower and stiffer then stock, but not track hard

my car came with full service history and documents so i should be able to take a pic of the sus paper work

Ross,

Thanks for that man, much appreciated.

I don't read jap but have saved the pics for one day when I run into someone who does :P

The leading product numbers are slightly different, mine 55320 yours 54010 but look very similar.

I havn't been able to get under the front end to find the suspension but I will when I get it on a hoist.

It sits quiet well and handles great so chances are it is a full nismo s-tune similar to yours.

Once again, thanks mate!

they pic i attached is of the front sus, the rear coil would have a different part number since its seperate from the strut assembly

id hazard a guess its the same set up as i have.

D'oh, silly me, I did work out that was the front strut but I havn't got under there yet as there is not much clearance and a million things to see when you do look under there.

I can't wait to see under the front and find out if the nismo gear is there too :P

I have a set of nismo shocks installed in my S1. I got them second hand and they were recond with new valves by a local Bilstein trained specialist. They are Bilsteins presumably made to order for Nismo and stamped "Nismo". Mine are front:

56110-RSC45 ENP and rear 53210 RSC45 ENP. My springs are Teins front F-SIN78-010311 HCC and rear R-SIN79-010382 HCC

im seriously hating your car more and more bis-e-bee :D

Jelousy is such a curse!!

I'll go searching for more goodies later today and will email you personally to tell you about them :(

Nah, I don't think there is much more in the goodies department but there is so much to check out underneath and in the engine bay etc.

Yep, 20mm lower.

Spring Rates;

Front: 8.3kg/mm

Rear: 9.2kg/mm

They are a beautiful ride aren't they :D

OK,

According to my 2003 Nismo catalogue, the following is the full S-Tune kit for the M35 (4WD)

5300S-RSM55

It then has a parts breakdown as follows:

530FS-RSM55-R (FR Assembly)

530FS-RSM55-L (FL Assembly)

56210-RSM55 (rear shock)

55020-RSM55 (rear spring)

The specs for the springs are:

F: 8.3kgf/mm -20mm

R: 9.2kgf/mm -20mm

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, sheds some light on it.

Although Ben's codes vary a bit to what my springs have them (55320-RSM55).

They looks like S-Tune's tho, and they handle pretty well.

When I get the front wheels off I will check for the Nismo springs & shocks and what codes are on those.
