Skyline - How Long Do They Last

quick question. How many KMs do skylines last? Not GTRs, particularly R34 GT-Ts?

ok let me rephrase.

well maintained. how long do 6 cyl cars average? how long before turbo gives way? my r34 gtts at 115000km and its well maintained and never thrashed. wondering if i shud sell and go for an r33 with lower kms or just keep this until it dies out.

like someone said before, how long is a piece of string? 1 sau member has an r33 with over 200,000km still going strong... and still with the standard turbo!

I d guess.... 150000 - 200000km for a standard car.

Most of the cars are decided to last 200000km with well maintenance...

it depends.......

if a car has been submerged in water.....especially through flooding whilst transporting...the engine is GONE in a day!

The engine is pretty much like the clutch.....it depends on how you drive it.

it could last up to years...depending on how often it is driven........

but you could destroy a clutch in 1 day if you ride it all day long

my odo shows 130,000 but it was switched off for a couple of years there... i'd say its at 200,000 and i'm currently pushing 300rwkw on the stock motor

An engine is an engine, regardless what it is.

Build quality, lubrication used, how the engine is driven, what power it is pushing out, how often it is serviced, climate, etc. You get my point.

A car can last 1,000,000km if it is treated correctly. However certain things might fail and need replacing. Most parts will have to be replaced during the life of the car, so what particular part are we talking about.

There really is no answer to this thread and therefore is entirely pointless.

Kind of like asking what age shall i live to.

I agree over 9000 but not over 12000
