i have all the coolant hoses bar the heater hoses, i have attempted to change these and this is probably the first job i can't do myself. it's going to take me like a day to do 1 or 2 hoses. need a mech to just lift the engine and replace the hoses in what i am thinking should only be 1 day or less..

so i'm asking, has anyone had these replaced by a mechanic? what i am trying to find out is what kind of labour hours are we talking here?

Thanks.

Have a go at changing some of the hoses yourself..Cheaper that way and good for a learning experience. But the ones that are at the back of the motor you will really have a lot of trouble with. specially the one that goes around the back of the head against the firewall side. Had to pull the starter motor out and put the car up on the hoist to get to it...really nasty that one

yeah i've already replaced one that split, a real short one that comes straight out of the side of the engine

and yeah i had to take the starter out to get at it, but there are some ridiculous ones like that one that goes around the head. and even taking the starter out you can only get one hand up there which makes it tough for clamps not sitting in the right position to get it

i'm not really up for taking the whole plenum off to do it i've taken half the plenum off the rb30 to get at the injectors and it's a bit of a flamin mongrel of a job, and i don't have the space to leave the car over night without a plenum

$300ish~ i can live with

Thanks

ps. sup predator, dunno if you remember me you sourced me some cheap suspension from bursons for my r31 a few years ago. i was paveway on the r31skylinesclub forums.

ive done it and its a job best done with the head off, or manifold off, or engine out.. there are some real pricks that arent so hard, but you cant get pliers etc in there to remove the clamps.. removing the hicas solenoid might make it a bit easier..

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo

    • Yeah was thinking that. I've had the car go lower idle possibly around 650rpm every once in a long time after pouring fuel and would sound quite rough like a misfire, almost like it's shit fuel or something but who knows.

Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital? • Just buy a bunch of covers off aliexpress, they're like $5 each. Rattle-can them and stick them on as needed/fly off.
