I heard the AWD is pretty good for grip and if your not a fan of FWD.

You will get a slightly smaller fuel tank (from memory 4L smaller due to AWD system) and higher consumption.

But if you intend on adding forced induction in the future you will have a family sized "Evo" so to speak.

The AWD magna was a pretty nice car, but wasn't that popular. It was more expensive than the AWD subarus that were more practical. The AWD system also added something like 200kg to the weight.

Noooo.... don't doo it! FWD is evil!

FWD's are ftw

Magna's are great. For the first year or so. Then they go pear shaped, hence the re-sale being shite.

BS.

My dad's owned his 2001 Magna since 2003, so he's had it 6 years now. He hasn't had to replace anything, just kept up with services. It's absolutely perfect mechanically, still has the stock clutch and doesn't sniff at towing a reasonable sized boat. Prior to that he had a 1993 Magna up until 2001. Again, nothing ever needed replacing.

It's the history, not the car that'll determine whether it's a lemon. Both of my dad's cars have been faultless. They're the type of car people neglect and run into the ground, so of course you'll find shitty examples.

plus they sound sick when supercharged

Ugh.... the supercharger whine gives me a migraine.

Twin turbo magnas sound much better. 11 sec and 505hp at wheels from a FWD whale is not too bad.

Back in the day I had my magna, I was seriously saving up to have it twin turbo'd by RPW from WA. Would've cost around 12k I think.

Thanks guys, it's very helpful.

Stagea --- I'd considered but no. Because the car will mainly driven by my wife and I have to say she's a very bad driver.

Camry --- No, I hate toyota especially camry and corolla

Ford --- the name speaks all: Fix Or Repair Daily :)

Thanks again for all the help. Cheers

it had a 5 star safety rating from what i have heard, ABS, airbags, awd, and stock is slow as a commo :P
