All.

I've been lucky enough to receive an invite to a select event on behalf of Skylines Australia forum/site, and the SAU-Vic club as a whole.

This entails a Tour of the F1 Paddock, Ferrari Garage and the Track Lab at the F1 GP this weekend

As a part of this there will be a Q&A session with Shell Technical Engineers & Track Lab team members surrounding Shell, fuels and so on.

If anyone has something they would like me to specifically ask about then post up here and I will endeavour to attain an answer for you :(

Im permitted to take photo's and so on, im not sure what exactly that might be yet however, hopefully some cool gear.

Post up the tech questions please!!!

Thanks to Endelmen Public Relations (Con Frantzeskos) & Shell for such an opportunity.

Cheers

Ash

Im not totally sure that would be something they could answer... :P

Shell actually came along to a SAu-Vic General Meeting last year, if its similar to that then asking them to compare with a competitor, they will not answer either for or against

tell them I want Vpower Racing back. it was great fuel. I'll even buy a years worth up front if it'll help matters...

also ask them how they fell for the joke of inviting you along....

and ask them do they feel silly about it? hehe.

Ask if SAU members can get a 20% discount off all Shell products :P

And yes a question on E85, when will they start to roll out availability at their servos?

Let them know its the next best thing for the tuning/aftermarket world (this does not mean they can charge the earth for it. 99c is overpriced at the moment IMO)

I already know some of that (from last years meeting)

V-Power Racing was LESS than 1% of sales or production... vs the cost it wasn't viable or something close to that marker.

E85 (last year) they were not looking into then... however its now 6 months later - so i will certainly ask that one!

OMFG..... Ferrari Garage! Are you serious!!!!!

I'd give my left nut to get into the Ferrari F1 garage...

(goes away to sob quietly)

How about the right nut? I believe it's of slightly higher value, see if you can ask them why they are now charging 13-14cents per litre more than regular unleaded as opposed to 6 months ago when they used to charge only 10cents per litre more, I know it's chump change but I don't see why it is like that....they are still made the same way as before (with the same cruse oil used to make regular unleaded) only now oil prices are lower yet enthusiasts get short changed times that by

everyone that fills up with v power and shell (and other petrol companies) make millions more!

either or!

I don't want to hijack thread, but I'm almost certain I get better milage (30-50Kms per tank more) from V Power than I do from Ultimate 98.

yeah mines tuned on bp ultimate, but i will get 50kms more out of a tank using vpower... who knows why?

the refinery in sydney has undergone further maintenance so to the best of my knowledge fuel is being sourced from asia (singapore??) hence the higher price.

caltex follow suit because they can.

Ferrari Garage

asshole

Can you point out to the geniuses that Racing was only available at about 4 servos in Australia so they shouldn't be surprised it had poor market share. My nearest servo was about 25km away so I only ever filled up with it once!! Loved it but way too far to go to fill up with fuel.

Forget that now anyway, put my vote in for wider availability of E85. And see if you can get me a photographers pass so I can top last year's photo effort! (yay compact cameras.. no point taking the real one)
