Will be very interesting to see now that they've been made legal how much of an advantage or non advantage they really were....I don't rekon it will be that much of an advantage at all personally but time will tell!

Shane i reackon you will start seeing Ferrari and McLaren up there as well mate

Ferrari's car has some good pace....and now that they will prob be running those diffusers they should start showing their true pace

move over Jenson Button....the Ferrari boys are coming

WT.... ?? have u guys got some kinda weird beer goggles on? ferrari have genuine pace? u mean, being the 9th and 10th quickets cars on the track is genuine pace? mebe if you said that about the Brawn cars... but ferarri? hell no, they have dropped the ball big time! if i was a ferarri fan, all i'd be feeling now is dissapointment

Ferrari do have some genuine pace but I'm not expecting any miracles in Shanghai, but I hope they surprise me!

my guess is that give it a couple of rounds before we start seeing some results

then how come they qualify better luke ;)

i remember correctly it was Hamilton in the 10th position (last years champion) and Kimi in 5th

and thats not genuine pace.....Brawn cars have a heck of a better setup and all and they are the pace setters so cant say that they have genuine pace as i am measuring others against the Brawn cars

on another news RON DENIS has quit from Mclaren....now who will defend Hamilton lol

u see how they post weights for qualifying now... and it shows that ferarri are running light, if not the lightest in the top 10 (if they even make top 10)... that means they have a slow car

whats this mumbo jumbo about hamilton??? kimi 5th?? what?

lol, doesnt genuine pace need to be measured against the feild... otherwise its not genuine? "wow, ferarri have the fastest 2 ferarri powerd cars in f1" true... but still means they have failed to score a point in the championship thus far against legal cars!!!! and they are not even the quickest out of the non diffuser cars!! so no, they dont have pace, genuine or otherwise! they have kers... they have loyal fans, but in 2009, they have no results! and hence no genuine pace!

show me the points!!!!!

if i remember correctly Ferrari in the last race weren't so light....i was speaking of last race qualifying about Hamilton being in 10th and kimi in 5th.....i am not saying that Brawn cars are not good....they are bloody awesomely setup cars to be where they are now.....running a merc engine.....

Ferrari have failed to score points so far but its not been because of the car lacking pace.....for eg last race kimi when out on a dry track with wet tyres on....no more said

Ferrari have genuine pace when one considers that they were not using what was a suspect diffuser and the addition weight of the KERS. I'm led to believe also that Fridays free practice times from both Australia and Malaysia show that the F60 has genuine pace out of the box.

Obviously relative to the Brawn GP cars they're not quite on it yet.

Even in pre season testing Ferrari were dominating the times there.....so your saying thats not genuine pace luke?

will be interesting to see if the Ferrari boys change to the "suspect" diffusers now that they have passed...according to a report that "suspect" diffuser was giving better aero dynamic downforce.....good for about half a second better per lap

anyone splashing cash on this round? To win:

BUTTON Jenson

$2.35

BARRICHELLO Rubens

$5.50

TRULLI Jarno

$12.00

VETTEL Sebastien

$14.00

GLOCK Timo

$15.00

Few other categories you can gamble to!

If you need a hand with how to place a bet, i can help ;)

genunie pace is measured in races... ferarri are LAST in the constructors standings. i can give you gold stars for being quick in practise and testing, but gold stars mean sfa and so do your comments about how quick their cars are... show me time and weight comparisions to prove your point!! without evidence ur statments make you look like giant fools!

and the diffusers have never been illigal... some people are just smater than others =)

PS seen the times from P1 today?... ferarri 11th and 14th which is an accurate reflection of how slow their cars are aka their "genuine pace" =P

practise sessions dont mean anything and yes i was just pointing out that Ferrari did well in the testing but dnt know what has gone so wrong for them on race weekends

its only been like 2 races and people are already writting out teams like ferrari and mclaren

too soon dont you think...Ferrari is last in the constructors championship as they have made some bad calls in terms of qualifying and getting DNF's which isnt a true reflection on the pace they produce all weekend

they will be up there soon....Ferrari has a habit of starting badly and finishing strongly

its a long season

McLaren fastest in the first session. Ferrari not so fast......

interesting would like to now what they heck have they done to make a big improvement since last round

    • Nah, just take the other one off too
    • Oh yeah forgot to also mention need to also unplug the IACV as well. Thanks for the reminder @MBS206 Unplugging the TPS takes it out of closed loop so you're able to screw down the IACV without the ECU trying to add/subtract timing to maintain the idle (not sure PowerFC can even do this, but Nistune and the OEM definitely does)
    • For sale is my 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T, tuned to 234 kW / 313 hp. I've had the car for a few years as my daily driver. The car is original (as far as Skylines go), with only a few minor upgrades to enhance performance and driving experience, as typical for such a car of its age. Overall, it is in great condition with no body rust, thanks to its earlier import date. It features a top-notch security system (not literally, but it's great!) with remote start and still functional 4-wheel steering via HICAS. It comes with several performance and handling upgrades, including:     Hypergear 450HP Turbocharger running 17 PSI boost, installed mid-2021 by Jaustech     550cc injectors     Nistune ECU     Front-Mount Return-Flow Intercooler     X-Force Stainless Steel Exhaust     Upgraded engine mounts     Bottom end bearings replaced     BC Coilovers     Lenso DR1 rims     Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 TL 245/40R18 97W tires, fitted early 2023 The interior is mostly stock, with a few additions:     Viper Satellite Tracking System with remote start     Bluetooth Double-Din Touchscreen Head Unit     Steering wheel cover Cons:     A few paint imperfections here and there     Driver’s seat shows more wear than the others. It's not torn at all, but I've added a seat cover to protect its condition. I also have a CarVX Vehicle History report available for serious buyers, so you don’t need to purchase it yourself. Price: $26,000 ONO.
    • I've had two suzukis in the past have an extremely hard time turning over and not starting after sitting for a few weeks. Ended up the alternator would seize up causing the starter to force. Same issue both times.  Maybe they're sourcing their alternators from the same place...
