its only been like 2 races and people are already writting out teams like ferrari and mclaren

interesting would like to now what they heck have they done to make a big improvement since last round

no way am i writing ferarri off... kimi, kubica or webber for world champ imo... but i call it how i see it, im a fan of the sport and beleive the truth should always be told, even if it hurts!! and ferarri just dont have the pace! they will turn it around, thats what ferarri do, but atm, they suck, face it! =D

i'd sudgest that hamilton would be running very light on fuel, with the tyre problems people will be having this round most teams that know what they are doing would have sent drivers out with big loads of fuel to see how the tyres last etc

I've got a feeling they might have some new aero parts, we also don't know what sort of fuel loads they're playing with yet.

IMO it definitely way too early to predict how the season will pan out. Teams like Ferrari and McLaren have incredible resources and data at their disposal and will undoubtedly find a few precious tenths before the circus even gets to Europe. Of course other teams are also going to find a few extra tenths but.... how quickly. The reason I say how quickly is because Brawn/Williams/Toyota are already using the rules interpretations to their advantage as deemed legal by the ICA.

If I were part of any one of the other 9 teams, I'd be worried most about RBR. Mark Webber has potentially never been in a better seat, especially if he gets himself a contract for 2010 (with RBR) if he hasn't done so already! I just have a feeling that RBR are going to establish themselves as a front runner.

Ferrari don't suck... not yet anyhow. They might have some surprises even this weekend and I have a suspicion that they weren't running light fuel.

I honestly will be surprised if Webber scores more WDC points than Vettel this year and it doesn't look as though the BMW is as strong as it was this time last year which is a shame because I think Kubica is one of the better drivers out there at the moment. I'm not 100% convinced of Kimi's commitment this year either....

Rhys you will be feeling the wrath of the Ferrari Fans soon mate

once they sort out their damn aero issues....but once they come good then you will see the prancing horse again...cant wait for the race though...should be good specially with Alonso at the front and the Brawn cars in the mid back

let me have my happiness!!!lol

but seriously this is f**king great for the sport, for years it has been dying a slow death at the hands of ferrari's borring racing/cheap underhand tactics behind the scene. its a fresh breathe of life into the series to have 4 teams that where back markers up front now and mclaren and bore-rarri at the back

Interesting Sat practice session and even more so qualifying times and car weights. RBR cars both look good with Vettel on Pole, but I have a feeling pit/tyre strategy is going to win the Chinese GP tomorrow.

Yeah im REALLY interested too see this!!! i'd expect top 3 to run the super softs for the first stint! bolt from the line put in some good laps, but since almost no one is running kers, as they start loosing pace backing everyone up so their pit stop isn't as bad, and then owne them all in their final stint with awsome tyres!!!! least thats what im hoping for!!!

i think that the top 6 runners are on a very light fuel loads using the super soft tyres...but if the weather heats up a bit then the super softs will be graining in about lap 6-7 so most of them will most likely be pitting pretty damn early and expect a busy pit lane lol....

should be a damn good race this one...all for vettel winning this GP

.....and a fairly short first stint at that! Brawn GP cars still looking the goods at their starting weight. I'd like to see Vettel notch up another win and hopefully Alonso and Webber come together into turn 1

why in hell would you want that? *shakes head*

talbo's un-australian gibberish out the way, alonso was the lightest, then vettel then webber. both brawn cars where the heaviest in the 10 so i expect a brawnGP 1-2 again

hrmmm.. kimi and ferarri have admitted that this season is pritty much over for them

would hate to be a ferrari fan right about now... but good for the sport! =)

    • The easiest option might be to just spray a bunch of fish oil in there.  At least that way you can feel like you've done something while you continue to ignore it
    • I'm firmly on the "zero compliance is good compliance" for FUCAs. I'd be looking to solid metal joints even if the primary reason for having them is because they facilitate the twist in the arm. I have never been more happy with the way the front suspension behaves than I have since I got rid of the FUCA bushes. Even the thin little (short lived) poly bushes in the Whiteline adjustables have too much compliance for my liking. It probably won't be long before I have sphericals nearly everywhere, probably including both top and bottom arms in the rear, and I'll start complaining about the increased costs for dental work. But I will be enjoying the driving more, I'm sure.
    • Plus, you'll get great experience in bedding in pads!
    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
