well its good to finally see the prancing horse back in the mix for me....bit biased but thats what you get for being a ferrari fan :D

ohh rhys i am looking forward to seeing the Ferrari cars on the open circuits as well mate....IMO i think that they might be able to do a bit better then Monaco.....and there are talks about Alonso moving to Ferrari for next season....if that does happen then i wonder who will be making way for him Kimi or Massa ummm

Edited by Krishy

pleeeeeaaaase let it be massa, god i hate him. i still smile every time i see the footage of his team celebrating then failing after they thought they won the championship lol, yes i am shallow :D

i wanna see rbr on the open tracks, wanna see this rear diffuser hard at work

dont think that the rear diffuser is doing much for the RBR cars rhys......but i have grown a liking to both the drivers of the Ferrari team so regardless who goes they will be sadly missed....but Alonso will be a welcome sight as i love his work...very hussle bussle driver so makes sense he needs to be in a RED car lol......the rampaging bull

each to there own but im pretty confident its only going to be a plus for the team, they have been outclassing the likes of ferrari/mclaren/bmw etc etc on a regular occurance without them, so fingers crossed it will bring em closer to brawn.

alonso and kimi in ferrari would be win, i might even consider dropping my dislike for the team as i like both of them lol

Agreed!! Ferrari really ARN'T back at all are they! 45 seconds off of a slowing Button's lead at the finish for Massa and Kimi?????? Good work for Webber and Co though, Sebastian really should've won that race it was setup for him, pity they still can't follow closly behind each other though through corners, think they need to relook at that part of the car, think they need to look at America and the IRL and previous indycars style of aerodynamics, less reliance on wings and more on underbody style downforce.

Bring on silverstone for possibly the last time????

Was a very good race....even though Ferrari didnt really put up a show.....but what about team orders indirectly lol....."save your engine sebastian...webber is faster" umm how was webber faster when Vetel was catching him about almost a second a lap.....but anyway

go read the race report krishy, i think you will find your a tad off

both drivers got told to slow down, rising temps on both drivers motors and the only way he would have got pass was an incident. and vettel already has 4 blown motors for the season. it was a simple matter of saving and taking the easy points.

loving this season! ferrari whoooo???

I heavily doubt that report but then again i cant make that call without solid evidence......i was watching the race and there was no mention to Webber about the condition of this engine but i did hear the Vetel radio and being told to SAVE the engine....in other words dont race webber to the finish

read below:

Q: You were asked late in the race by your team not to pass Mark. Your thoughts on that?

SV: They did not tell me not to pass Mark. They just said ‘Mark is faster.’ Similar to what he did we just turned the engine down and just drove the car home. I mean if you start from pole you want to win. If you lose the lead already in the first lap it is not so good and you just see that someone has much quicker pace. It is not that nice to see and obviously then we lost because of the strategy the position to Mark, so in the end I was third. Of course I wasn’t that happy with that and just kept pushing to the end. Obviously both of us turned the engines down but still I would rather go fast the last couple of laps and enjoy rather than just going around without any sense.

Q: Mark, similarly how were the tyres at the end as you were being gained on by Sebastian?

MW: We knew that there was no point of us two smashing into each other with five laps to go, so we just brought the cars home really. Jenson was down the road, so it was a stalemate. We had everyone else covered, so it was a great day for the team to get second and third. We expected to be closer to the Brawns but we got caned fair and square today, so this is a deserving result. I also enjoyed the race today. The track was quite good to drive as Jenson said it rubbered up and it was pretty enjoyable to drive. It would have been nice if there was one less car in the race but he was there. In the end I was happy with how I drove.

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to come I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
