Thats not good news Steve....but with F1 having drastic changes next year and the introduction of new teams should be a breath of fresh air in the paddocks.....hoping that Ferrari have a lot better season next year then this season....Alonso in Ferrari outfit will be awesome at the same time hoping that Massa can recover 100% and back to his best form....

Button gives Brawn the old back hander and signs with Mcdonalds ( Mclaren ) what a sook, goodluck driving a car built around Hamie's chuck it in style!!

the flying finn, who was lets be honest sacked from ferrari, is going to have a year off! another sooky lala, if he had any balls he'd drive for one of the new teams to help them get started, lookout 2011 Mark Webber!!!

I think Redbull the brand would get a better bang for there buck from the Finn, off the track, especially when he shows up to promo's rideing the iceman chopper!!! Lol

crazy for him to have a year off, ferrari are paying him more to not race than he'd get if he did, woulda been better off sticking him a customers car to help them!

i think Kimi taking a year of F1 is not being a sook but wanting to do what he has always wanted to and that is Rally driving....from memory he did compete in the Rally Finland and finished 15th so not bad for someone doing it once in a while and in one stage he kept up with the champ Loeb.....Button signing on to McLaren (or as someone said "McDonalds") is just a big power thing going to his head....I expect Brawn cars to be very strong next season as well.....for some reason i dont think that RBR will be signing or looking to sign Kimi.....their current drivers have the skill to win GP's and challenge for the world title, so why break a happy family :D.....

oh and yes Ferrari had to pay ridiculous amount to buy out Kimi's 2010 contract, just so they can get Alonso

    • If you are genuinely considering trying to get this engineered, I would strongly advise finding the engineer that is happy to sign that off first before you put the hole in your car.  I've seen cars get defected for this and not be able to be put back on the road as no engineer they spoke to was happy to sign if off.
    • Apologies, while id like to put the MAF as close to the TB and relocate the recirc, this may be too much work. Will most likely end up just putting it on the original AFM spot ( onto/next to the airbox ).  Was going through nistune, found a pretty nifty doc on this. Nistune MAF Notes. Also, i was looking through the bay, and there seems to be a tube/line connected from the A/C to the intercooler piping ( Between the smic and the recirc), what does this do as the crossover fmic piping doesnt have any connection? plumbing? not sure what you call it but the nipple thing ahah.  Also, been reading up more about crossover fmic in regards to the legality of having the hole drilled for the piping, this would most likely need to be engineered right?
    • My advice is if you need a big build done do it in Japan. The yen rate is so favorable and there are shops that can be genuinely trusted and not micromanaged/carefully monitored every step of the way. Garage Yoshida is obviously my preferred option but they're so busy these days and all interaction with new customers has to be mediated through BBL/Toprank now.
    • I haven't....but a poorly made one would terrify me. Surely a good second hand one is the go, as they don't work hard and no-one wants to keep one after they are finished with it A big consideration would be the weight of the shell you are putting on it....is it a fully dressed chassis or just the body
