Engine Help

hey everyone, i changing the head as it is cracked, and want to to take it out asap as is leaking water and oil into the last cylinder, now my question is once the head is off how do i go about storing the engine as the head will be off for about a month, will it wreck the engine? will it be fine? what do i need to do?

help asap would be nice as i am planning to take it off this weekend.

Spray a light film of oil into the cylinders.

Grab 6 flannel sized chunks of clean rag and stuff them into the bores.

Grab a tea-towel size of rag and soak it in a container of oil.

Squeeze all of the excess oil out and lay it over the block.

Worked for me.

Any other suggestions?????????
