Post pics of your previous rides. If you have pics...

This comes from going thorough my photos and remembering how much I miss driving the 32. Then a week after we sold it, the guy wrote it off :D

My First car was a KB Laser Ghia, wide dragway splat type rims that made it look tough. I think at one stage I even made eyelinds for it out of silver tape.... Hahaha, I was 16... LOL no excuse really.

Drunk driver slammed into the back of that at a stop sign at Tea Tree Plaza and wrote it off, then I got a KF Laser which I sold to my mate when I got the Skyline.

So thats my story!

Whats yours....?

This thread will be a 56k killer.

I started my driving life in an TP magna, sub, hubcaps, cannon, fark that car was the bomb.

Decided that jap was where it was at, and bought my S13 from Melbourne. Still on my P's at the time. Need moar height? I ended up getting lower springs for the front, that thing handled quite well for stock!

09012008.jpg

Then i got a full time job, and decided to buy the love of my life. Got it through private sale, might have even been advertised on here, cant quite remember.

then it evolved a bit:

Owned this on and off, along with my mate in the picture:

3" straight pipe into a 4" cannon. No resonators, no cats, no mufflers, nothing.

Shot flames, was louder than a monster truck and back-fired like gunshots all the time thanks to a hole in the manifold.

Survived 2 defect stations, 4 RBT stations and numerous times being pulled over. Never defected.

BUT it did receive 4 noise complaints:

Revving car for backfire and flames in underground Marion carpark - $174 fine (undercover cop).

Revving down the street - neighbours complaint

Revving through a Macca's drive-thru - managers complaint

Revving out the front of the house - mums complaint

It was so loud. Kye would know alllllll about it.

Was loud until the exhaust actually ruined the engine, not enough back pressure or something and burnt out the valves. It dropped 4 cylinders and also blew the head/numerous coolant hoses.

It was towed away by the council after his neighbours complained about it sitting there for 4 months.

After a long history of datsuns: 120Y (stocker), 180B (L20 twin webbers), 1600 (L20 twin webbers), 200B (stocker), 200B(SX) (worked motor - cams, twin webbers), 200B wagon (SR20 supercharged), 1600 wagon (CA18DET) ...

I owned a few V6 Magnas, before I was silly enough to buy one of these:

Liana002.jpg

But then I wised up and bought this:

Which turned into this:

And for the sake of it (and most people wouldn't be surprised), here are my other toys I've owned:

My R1 before sadly written off by p-plater in a commonwhore:

The mighty TLR ... 8 years on and I still own it:

previous ride before my stag was this beast:

n663326187_416526_3859.jpg

n663326187_416550_9419.jpg

1998 Subaru Forester

non turbo 2L, but worked off its tits making 114kw at all four

1276kg, handled like a go kart

Shortened ratio rally gearbox

to many handling mods to list

lowered 6.75"

GC8 WRX front end conversion

did all the work myself.

I miss this car's handling sooo much!

I'll have to spend big $$$ on suspension mods to the stag

*cries*

started my driving career in a tp magna, still have it, over a million kays in the family, only on its second engine (granted, second head for this engine also) and second transmission, neither of which were reconditioned before fitting, its a piece of shit, but its a tank.

Celsior036.jpg

bought the celsior after the magna killed its first engine, was also a piece of shit, but in somewhat better condition, and it looked sick. the exhaust in that picture was replaced a few weeks later with a 'custom' 2.5" from the cats back into a jun x-pipe finishing with 2 resonators as tips. spent entirely too much money on it, got sick of cars and sold it.

it lives in paralowie or something now, its lived a hard life since ive sold it, if i see it again ill have to take a couple pics.

now ive got an s14. :P

oooh I love these threads :D I've had 18 cars in 6 years :P

Heres my list, will include pics of the ones I have pics of. 56k go and take a round the world trip or something

HJ Holden premier look alike. Heap of shit, drove it once and thought nah I need something less tank-like.

KE55 Corolla. Yellow beast :D Rocked dirt slides in this for years. Cut my teeth on car control with this thing.

GC Galant. Shitbox. Had a 1600 so was a little quicker than the rolla. Continued to practice car control in this for a while.

AE86 Sprinter. First semi-decent car. Spent heaps on it - 4AG conversion, coilvers front and rear, TRD diff etc etc.

KE55 Corolla. Bought to get around in while the engine conversion was getting done in the AE86

A31 Cefiro. stock RB20DET auto. Had it for 3 weeks then realised if I'm going to have a tubo car it has to be manual

KE30 Corolla. Shitbox. Killed it in 3 days then sold it to a mate for fk all :)

180SX. First turbo/manual car. Heaps of fun, spent a few grand on engine mods but still wasn't that quick.

KE70 Corolla. bought to get around in whilst importing the Chaser.

80s Mazda 626. Stacked the rolla sliding so got this off my grandma for nothing. Engine was fked so didn't have it for long.

MX73 Cressida. Ghetto cruiser. Custom coilovers, 14x8s, twin pipes. Looked gangster as but gave me heaps of trouble.

JZX100 Chaser. The Chaser finally arrived after 7 months. This was my ultimate dream car (whilst being realistic) and lived up to every expectation I had (surpassed many as well). This was the first JZX100 to be driven on Mallala EVER :D Swapping it for the following 2 cars was the worst decision ever (in hindsight) but looking at them you can see why I did it

JZX81 Mark II. ah yes, the Kids Heart/HKS drift car. Weapon of a car, nothing more to say. Only had it a few months as I lost my job not long after I did the swap but still had some fun with it.

MX83 Cressida. Part trade along with the Mark II to use as a daily. was a Grande with leather and LSD but was in pretty shit condish. Thought I killed it 3 times but it just kept going, good old 7M-GE :(

R32 4door. Good car. Was great fun to drift. Put it into a cliff street drifting but didn't mess up the way the car drove so kept punting it around for a while until I got too worried about it getting done and having to fix the damage properly.

70s LA Lancer. Bought the morning after I stacked the 32. 90% of the body was covered in rust but it still went alright for what it was. Can't complain for $300

S13 Silvia. Stock CA18DE auto. Slow as a wet week but heaps comfy and in good condish.

S13 Silvia. RB20DET and 5 stud, stock everything else though. Drives well, kinda like the old CA one but can actually go up hills

Pictars!

My first car was an r31... loved it to bits, was my introduction to modding. Didn't get to do much tho, only rims, lowered suspension, rampod and an auto to manual conversion and a $1200 boss engineering 4.11:1 LSD.... was on LPG too and ran really nicely..

car1.jpg

car2.jpg

was written off when i hit a patch of oil outside bianco one wet night... did a 260' spin into a bus stop...

crash2.jpg

After that it was a VN holden, piece of shit, dont even want to think about it..

Then the GTR

drove around in my parents 2002 toyota avalon for awhile, then

i picked up my first s13 while i was still on my L's. sr20det, exhaust and some sus bits. had that for stuff all time (no i didnt write it off haha). i think my mates the only one that has some pics of it.

then i was carless for close to a year i rekon till i bought the r32 from the same importer i go the s13 from. dead stock and really healthy car, then i went abit nuts onit and spent more then i should of. but its a well known car now and will be one of the best achievements that ive ever done. went through alot of changes till i finally settled on what i wanted it to look like.

begining2.jpg

21stkadinawedding073.jpg

P1010132.jpg

sold that after i fought with myself over getting rid of it or finishing it off and bought a cheap daily, ae92 corolla hatch. its gay and shit but its only for a short while till ive sorted a few things out after ive moved into my own place this year.

in the mean time to keep me out of trouble ive bought another s13 with a mate of mine. its ruff and tuff and its what a jap sports car should be to me haha. its hardly ever driven on the streets as we just drift it at lala. (thanks to skandyflick-Dave for the last pic)

drift4.jpg

drift3.jpg

drift2.jpg

should have a new car by the end of the year though. still trying to figure out what i want though :P

After begging and begging my parents to let me get a jap car i lost the battle and bought a VT Berlina,

i was trying to buy a blue 180sx with a ca & 5 stud conversion as i wanted to spend money on it and mod it up , but seeing as we've been in

a serious car accident my parents weren't fond of me getting a car without an air bag.

post-52610-1238040593_thumb.jpgpost-52610-1238040622_thumb.jpg

after getting it i decided i needed some doof doof , so me & dad spent a couple of weekends installing this

post-52610-1238040701_thumb.jpg

was funny as driving down rundle street in the car with the system up and watching the ethnic people at cafe's turn around and go "oh my god , thats HeKtiK" :P .

eventually i got sick of this car , i wanted something that handled better and had a bit more power so i ended up trading my commodore for a gts4 skyline.

this thing was mint as , stock as a rock !

took my best mate out to look at it with me and his jaw dropped when he say it , ill never forget the day i saw this baby pull up!

post-52610-1238040862_thumb.jpg

after washing it and waxing it i decided i wanted some awesome pics of it , got another mate out with his camera and we set off to take some pics

post-52610-1238041009_thumb.jpg

post-52610-1238041067_thumb.jpg

post-52610-1238041089_thumb.jpg

eventually i got sick of this car and wanted to turbo it and convert it to 5 stud but i couldn't afford it so i decided to sell it and take out a loan.

which leads me to where i am today...

bought this in may last year after seeing that it had everything i wanted , i remember first driving this thing and getting blown away by the sheer torque and power it packed ,

for those that dont know , it had an rb26dett conversion :)

after a few months of driving it , the 26 decided to let go one night when i was driving easy , this threw me off...

day i got it

post-52610-1238041374_thumb.jpg

the power house

post-52610-1238041461_thumb.jpg

after it sitting in the driveway for many months i finally found a helping hand and decided to start working on it with Tony (FOOLBOOST)

started off like this

post-52610-1238041557_thumb.jpg

soon enough we had the 26 out

post-52610-1238041592_thumb.jpg

and now the engine looks like this

post-52610-1238041640_thumb.jpg

once the orange beast is going again ill be happy

end.
