Ok guys, first is first.

My batteries in my alarm remote went flat so i replaced them with new ones. This solved the problem of not being able to arm/disarm the alarm using the remote. I hopped in the car and then went to turn the car over and it wouldnt. It was like i needed to press the unlock button so that the immobiliser is turned off. However i did this and still nothing. I was dumbfounded!

I unhooked the battery leads and drained the power out, this still did nothing. I tried using the little device on the keys to manually disable the immboliser/alarm and this still did nothing. The problem only arose when i changed the batteries!

Can someone please help me!

I can get into my car fine. thats not a problem anymore.

I jsut cant start it! all the accessories etc come on but it just wont let me turn it over.

Could this be related to central locking? as my left hand side door is playing up atm and is not locking on its own anymore.

turn your ignition on (so the dash lights come on) and then hit the unlock button again and then try it.

The fact that your dash lights (ignition) come on suggests that the immobilser has switched off (depending on type of alarm but if it is an autowatch then definitely it has switched off)

Can you hear your fuel pump prime? if so, i doubt it is an immobiliser problem with any alarm because I am pretty sure all alrms/immobilisers intercept the line to the fuel pump

sorry dude yeah thats what i tried to explain. i turned the key so the lights come on. but still nothing after i have pressed the button, normally the button will disarm the immobiliser/alarm once the key is turned, however it unlocks the doors where it never use to do that. strange huh!
