AutoTrust
Chances are that it is an amp. Skylines rarely have problems with this, also some amps will only whine on high frequencys 1st stop should be Jaycar if it's a new amp and try another. if they wont help then make them. make sure that your Rca leads are good quality and dont run too closely to electronics such as the ECU. RGS
OK thats a start - I run OK RCA's but nothing flash. The amp is a Jaycar Response 4ch (New). The leads run from HU left and along the passenger side of the car into the boot where the amp is on a nice shelf next to the battery which I spent ages making. The AMP is earthed to the same -'ve terminal as the battery ie that piece of metal with two nuts attaching it to the chassis. The +'ve lead rund from the battery no longer than 1ft to the amp. All power cables are as thick as my little finger (about 1cm ish). Suggestions? AutoTrust
Undo your kick and scuff panels and pull the rca's away from the computer and the main wiring harness and have a listen, if it's still the same go see jay car and ask them if you can try another amp. Fhrx
Make sure you also upgrade your negative to body. What ever size power cable you run, you'll need the same sized earth.
