I dont feel sorry for this guy. What does it take for people to learn their lesson? Street race and you run the risk of this or hurting others. And just reinforces the hoonish stereotypes of imports and all the BS we have to deal from cops and the general public.

Totally agree with you Busky2k , I have no sympathy (in fact when I seen the news , I was pissed off)for an idiot doing 150kph+ or what ever speed they were doing in a 60kphr zone . If another car pulled out in front of them , they would of cleaned up that innocent party aswell . :D

Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. I hope a few of you young ones take a good look at this and smarten up

The pasengers in these cars had the option of saying let me out or back off but didnt so are just as foolish.

This was just an act of complete stupidity and has cost their lives and the quality of others lives .

All you guys and girls wonder why we get pinged for driving skylines or wrx's

I have been the innocent victim of a severe crash and know what this can do to peoples lives.

Sorry though that I am writting this because no one deserves to die so young.

I lost a mate 2 weeks ago in an accident (motorcycle crash up george rd) and he has left 3 kids and a wife to pick up the peices.

Just think about things first .

He that thinks might not come first but more likely lives to see another day

My condolences to the innocent victims

Sorry to hear and R.I.P Minh James

In regards to the comment about the WRX and crashes, would have to say it seems the skyline took out the WRX pushing it into the pole. Either way not a good result in anyway and hopefully this be a warning for those revving their engines at the likes next time. Use your head fella's, not your ego.

i had to go down magil rd today, and i must say, the skid marks are long, and very twisty, the pole was bent, kinda into

an C shape, pretty hard impact....

just glad no other innocent cars where involved.

The news said that the wrx just got in front and then hit the stobie and the skyline followed .

The poles base was moved a meter in the ground . Thats one hard hit.

Cheers for the info. Didn't know that. Does make one wonder how they both ended in the same spot. Anyhow, let's not see this anymore guys. Heart goes out to all rellies and mates involved.

Major crash were probably doing a test to help determine the cars speed and testing the grip levels on the road surface.

Hope this answers your question Steve.

they do it to record braking distances steve, yeah, coz a stock commo really has comparable braking

distances to that of a skyline or rexy.

EDIT: yeah i fail at speed typing.

the cop car doing that steve is trying to find out what sort of speeds that they were doing....or getting close to it

Really do feel sorry for ya loss Lawson

no one deserves to die so young and by the pics of the guy he doesnt look past 20 to me

that is really really sad....my heart goes out to the grieving families and everyone involved

this accident was just plain stupidity though...the roads in Adelaide are terrible and to do those sort of speeds on roads like this and in a built up area is just un called for

Now this will make the "COP HEAT" on all import drivers even worse

As someone has mentioned earlier.....young people please please learn from this tragic accident....these cars are very underestimated from time to time and can be a weapon of disaster if used improperly.....certainly has open my eyes to the whole speeding and things like that.....even creeping just 10 or 5kms over the speed limit can be fatal....so keep that in mind....speed limits are on the roads as the engineers and all the relevant bodies involved have deemed it safe to use that sort of speeds....going over that is just talking a really big risk

RIP mate

Lets keep this on topic and remember there are members here friends/related to the victims.

I do not condone that sort of behaviour at all either, what they did was very stupid and high risk, and they lost. We do need to keep it off the streets ... but lets also keep the trash out of the forums.

Did the driver deserve what they got? ... They made an error that cost lives.

Did the families deserve this grief? ... No.

Did the import community deserve this publicity? ... No

But let God judge him now.

RIP Minh

we all make bad decisions in life, and get away with most of them daily ?, the next time you put your foot to the floor in a public roadway in or on "anything" not just imports, think about the people who love you and what you can loose for a simple bad decision ????

shame it had to take a life and destroy another persons future. but both made a bad decision and paid a fatally serious price for it.

adelaide needs a outlet for motorsports, simply said.

RIP mate, and best wishes for the others involved in this tragic decision. imagine families/friends who get the police telling them the person they loved is gone ? dont forget a little compassion and respect for them, you would want it if it was your loved one ?

the decision is yours, make the right one ?
