I dont feel sorry for this guy. What does it take for people to learn their lesson? Street race and you run the risk of this or hurting others. And just reinforces the hoonish stereotypes of imports and all the BS we have to deal from cops and the general public.

shit... if that isn't a wake up call to those of us who like the occasional squirt on the roads (me included) then i don't know what is. Condolences to their respective families.

Well said.

My condolences too, so sorry to hear.

Whilst he is responsible for his own actions, I feel such sadness and sympathy for his family and friends.

Please, please be careful guys. Those sorts of speeds in built up areas, especially in such close proximity to other cars are a recipie for disaster.

He has paid the ultimate price, and now his family and friends have to deal with it. RIP.

Yeah been a while since ive been on here and NO it wasnt me... Infact he is/was my cousin.

I could almost say "told you so" if he had survived. He really DID bring it upon himself after being a passenger in another serious accident not long ago. Keep it on the track peoples!

my mum is a social worker in emergency/spinal/burns unit in the Royal Adelaide Hospital, suprisingly she wasnt called into work for this. My heart goes out to the family and friends and those affected by the loss! yes he was being an idiot on the roads, but to say you feel no sympathy is a bit harsh imo. its people like my mother who would call your parents and help the families in grief. The whole death and injuries affect SOOO many people!

R.I.P mate

everyone dont forget to pray for the injured people!

While this is a terrible tragedy I find it hard to feel sorry for the idiots involved... yes we are all guilty of giving it a little squirt here and there but 150km/h in a built up area is mind boggingly stupid. My heart however does go out to the survivors and the families involved, this will be a heart time for them all

well keep your feelings to yourself.. theres no need to say you find it hard to feel sorry for the people involved.. no1 deserves to die.

Not feeling sorry is not the same as believing they deserved to die. Clearly nobody is arguing this.

Point is, this is a car enthusiasts website, and one of the cars involved was a skyline. This should serve as a stark reminder of what our cars are capable of when misused/abused. If you wanna go that fast, go to mallala. There are plenty of people on this board who arrange track days, so really theres no excuse to go that fast in a residential area.

I feel very sorry for his family and friends. This is going to hurt them for a long time.

-D

yeah real sorry to all the families and friends involved, from the dead, the injured and those working at the scene.

terrible terrible loss of life, and permanent life-changing injuries to the survivor(s)

families effected for the rest of their lives over this, mom will never hold her baby son again, youngsters will never know their uncle, etc.

heart shattering

as if you do that shit with other lives in the car. madness

f**k it people, keep the speeds (110+) to the Hills, always in 100% control and never going past 80% risk. do not do this shit in the residential areas. Learnt this over 10yrs ago, will give it stick when entirely safe (my call) far out in the hills, but pity others will never think this way. yes we need a quarter mile strip but also a track- one south of adelaide

maybe a bit fresh to call but maybe this could be used as an example why we need a track for off street racing?

exactly, its no excuse for street racing, but if the government were serious about this we would have a place to vent.

its easy to say street racing is a massive issue and make a big fuss about it by bringing in laws which make them money, but when its a case of them spending money everything changes.

My condolences to the family and friends of those killed and my best wishes to those injured. I hope you have a fast, painless and as complete a recovery as is possible.

As someone who has had to recover from injuries due to car crashes on 3 different occasions - 1st took 5 years of rehab, 2nd took 4 years, 3rd 2 years and still going - I know how slow, painful and frustrating it is. It still amazes me how 2 bad decisions (1 by each of the drivers) can effect sooooo many lives and cause soooo much heartache.

+ 1 for a legal drag strip to remove this kind of behaviour from the streets.

bah, mr Rann would rather waste money on extending the tram line, building a new hospital over renovating the existing, build a new front on the entertainment centre and build 3 over/underpasses than even think about giving us a place

to safely/legally drive our cars hard.

Adelaide= slow and behind the times. nuff sed.
