What Ecu To Use?

Hi all,

Im just looking at what ECU to use for my RB25/30. .

I was recommended an Adaptronic by MRC Performance in Castle Hill, however I am not sure what to go with. . (I wanted to get it tuned by MRC however I think Marc only tunes the adaptronic ECU's?)

Ive also been recommended a Haltech E11v2 (add about $800), what about a PFC though?

Looking to spend around the 1kish mark. (If I need to spend extra for a much better ECU, I am happy to do that for 'future proofing')

Hey mate,

Their are a few good ECUs out there, Haltech, Vipec, PFC, motec etc.. (in no particular order) If your tuner is recommending a Adaptronic, best to go with that. No point buying an ECU your tuner is not familiar with.

The Haltech E11v2 have been phased out and has been replaced with the Platinum series.

The Adaptronic is an awesome unit.

I've been running one now for quite a while (When my car runs that is)

Currently tuning the car myself, and it's quite easy to use.

Go with it, it has AWESOME support after purchase, and is constantly having new features put in it.

Currently has traction control, launch control, flat shift, etc etc etc, (boost control too)

sounds good. . Ill have to look into it a bit more. . Im still finishing off my build and thought it would be about time to start looking at an ECU. . Ill have to go down to MRC Performance and have a talk to Marc about it

The one I run has a RRP of $1000, and from memory the plug in loom + Map sensor was $290 RRP IIRC.
