Here is the news

I went to a radiator place here in Ipswich he had a look at it and after telling him what I wanted to do with the car he sed that the standard radiator would do the job. He ordered the parts there on the spot and for $187.oo the job would be don tomorrow. All I have to do is pull it out (took all of 1hr) and put it back when it is finished. There just happens to be an auto place right next door so tomorrow when I have more time I will ask them about the auto line in the bottom tank and pass on the info.

Thanks

Phil

natrad quoted me that then the top tank brought it up too 300 :S

Ok here it is

Radiator is back and cheaper than first quote $176.oo It was 60% blocked he even showed me a video of it on his mob phone with water gushing from some of the course and nothing from others. I have put it back in and nun the engine to check for leaks but as yet haven’t road tested it.

I also spoke to two auto shops about the line through the bottom tank and both basically sed that if you put in a larger cooler there is no reason (here in QLD) to have the line in the bottom tank which means I can use an aluminum radiator form a manual when the time comes.

Cheers

Phil
