HKS Air Filter

I was told that these air filter elements should not be cleaned and reused, but a new element purchased each time. When you purchase a new one i was also advised that they come pre oiled.

As my original element had seen better days i decided to buy a new element.

Can anyone tell me if this is the case, as i dont believe it has come pre oiled, and i cant see why a foam filter cannot be cleaned, reoiled and used using finer filter cleaner/oiler.

As far as I know, the HKS filters are not for "life-use". No one is stopping you from trying to clean it or re-oil it, if you can find the correct oil. It's just not recommended by HKS. They do come pre-oiled from the factory.
