R33 Clear Tail Lights, Where To Buy Them?

The standard tail lights are clear underneath... ...The reflector is just plain white too... ...It's the red outer cover that gives the tail lights their colour...

There is a thread from about a year ago where someone explained how they did it and what he used...

They looked good on his car... ...But his car was really themed around ice and snow... ...So it worked...

Big draw back was he got pulled over by the cops all the time because their headlights would reflect back at them in white and not red... ...So he's back to standard red...

As you can see from the pic of the 34 above... ...The red reflector in the middle does look a little naff... ...And most clear ones out there are LED tail lights...

At the end of the day... ...It's your car... ...As you can see a lot of people don't like the clear tail light look on skylines... ...But if it fits the overall look of your car... ...Then go for it...

It's all good... ...I think I remember it so well because it did just look sooo good on your car... ...And we had a good chat about it at a monash meet up... ...and while a lot of the time it does look shit... ...You went about it the right way...

It's just a pity that it was so defect-able...

And did you end up selling them???...

thanks for that, nobody has ever given me a hard time about them, most people love them and everybody wanted to know where i got them etc!

they are sitting around in my garage up for grabs - they cost me a s#!t load but i'll load 'em off for $50 bucks if anyone is interested. the guy that started this thread is gonna come check have a look hopefully over the easter weekend.

Off topic, but btw i got fibreglass 6x9 speaker pods, & my quick release steering wheel boss kit to find a new home also
