W0rp3D
I need to get a new set as I only recently bought the car and didnt get around to makin a spare set.... silly me.... That reminds me i have to make a new set. Either call a locksmith, best off you pull them out and take them to him, or just get a new/second hand set of locks with keys. rocketboy
i kwno its a bit off topic but ... where do u get the keys made .. is it a special key or any locksmith will be able to do it Not from a skyline, but it may be of some help... I have a Rover tomcat that I needed to get keys made for, I took the door barrel out and brought it into my local locksmith. They made the key up - piece of piss. But the ignition barrell had an extra tumbler/slider (or what ever the term is) at the key tip, so it didn't work. The original guy at the locksimth wasn't overly keen to help, but I got onto another guy there who was happy to help. He just took a bit off the end of the key - 1 notch worth - didn't work, but I took it back each time for one more notch to be taken off the tip until I was up to the last notch and thank goodness it worked. Now I just have to rebuild the engine So the ignition barrel may have an extra bit at the end to work. May not however, But I thought my method was easier than pulling an ignition barrel out. Also, if your car is fairly new, it may need a key through the dealer as it may have electronic entry or a transponder of sorts. Other than that, your locksmith is the way to go.
