Ok guys, Next year I am getting married. Bec and I want to have kids very soon after we get married, which results in many things, but one of the main is that the GTR will have to go. :D

I need suggestions on some nice (preferably quick) family cars. They can't be imports (otherwise i'd be getting a Stagea).

My thoughts so far are;

Subaru Forrester XT

Subaru Liberty GT Premium

Audi A4 Turbo Quattro wagon

Nissan X-Trail

Ford Explorer (slammed on 20's)

Any ideas? suggestions? comments?

Thanks,

Christian

Funny how we refer to cars that aren't produced in Australia but sold here by a dealer as being not an import but cars that are not made in Australia and imported but not sold by a major dealer are classified as an import !!!!!!

Just have look at Christian's list in the above post. How many of those cars are completely built in Australia?

BTW the Audi would have to be the standout choice wouldn't it, especially if it is the RS4.

Just an observation is all.

Cheers

Muz

ha ha ha yeah Muz, i agree- its funny... they're all 'imports' as such.. i should say no 'grey imports'.. :D

hmmm, i am really leaning so far towards the liberty GT.. the RS4 is about $100k out of our price range. :P

Christian I would also say look at the Forresters. They are good fun to drive, they are big and they are also very easily worked and modded just to quench your thirst for performance.

I once had a blat against one in my younger years (last year) and must say that he kept up with the skyline.

v_s_p_e_c - no grey imports because my soon-to-be wife will be driving it too, and she has given me that rule. Also because we can't get something brand new and also insurance etc... i cant wait to own a car that I have no insurance woes with.

Charlie, Jimbo - thanks fellas. :D

More seriously though, was XR6T on the list? They can go a bit....

Of those, I'd pick the Liberty, but this same q is why we are selling the skyline and buying a stagea....I guess I've been training Kel for long enough now :D
