Got a reply from Graham at channel 7.............. signed it sharon and the idiot still replied to Nic lol

Dear Nic,

Our story the death of the young man on Magill Road did NOT use the term "hoon" once. If you own a Japanese car blame those who misuse them.

So i replied with this............Dear Graham my name is actually Sharon as i signed it Sharon to. we blame the media like yourself who only gives half a story and not the full story. Our Best friend was killed in an accident he was driving a Nissan Skyline GTR r32, ran of the road and hit a tree. The media had a field day with it saying speed was a factor. well guess what????? speed did not kill him, the kids who ran out in front of him in middle of the night is what killed him. he chose to swerve and miss them to save their lives but ended up taking his own life. You people really need to get facts right before broadcasting half the story.

Sharon

and he replied yet again...........It's now all clear. Your best friend racing at 150 kph down a suburban road wasn't the problem - we should have done a story on the ferrals who distracted him. He is actually a hero. Sorry you lost your friend ..... but it could have been worse, you could have been his passenger.

No wonder you blame the media .... it's always someone else's fault.

Once again my reply...............no one said he was doing 150 which he wasn't by the way, he was doing the speed limit so where you came up with that garbage about racing at 150 is total crap. yes the feral kids are to blame. it was on a blind corner and by the time he saw the kids he had no choice but to swerve. where do you get off accusing speed in this situation?? i will be forwarding this onto the other forum members who also think your a total dick. and this reply just confirmed it. how about we do a story about how you blame speed before hearing the full story??? yet again another half the story reply from the media.

All this does is prove to me that the idiots at Channel 7 pushing this shit actually believe it! For a while there I thought they were just evil, taking advantage of the most simple people out there, running the pathetic stories they do. But now I realise, they are just as stupid as their average viewer! Amazing. :D

I'm a little surprised too, I thought it was a marketing trick to cater to the largest number of ratings...clearly this is not the case, it would appear to be a someone who completely believes in some of these ridiculous stories that are published.

alot of ppl believe what they're told without any prior knowledge - if its on TT, it must b tru...

as for that email back 2 sharon... its obvious - hes just an arrogant know-it-all prick

has no1 signed his email address up for heaps of porn/spam emails yet?

This has absolutely amazed me. I can't believe the reply emails that have been sent from those twits. What chance do we have of any sort of fairness when the tosser who runs the show actually believes the crap they show?

Maybe we need to find a way of broadcasting some of the ridiculous replies these idiots have sent....

And like so many people have said, I'm so sick and tired of being labeled a hoon just because of the car I drive.

^^^ You already know the answer to that my friend...

'Delusions of grandeur' - I repeat, 'delusions of grandeur'

Me? I'm not the least interested in driving a Grandeur! sick punny man i am

Whilst Mr Archer is evidently only interested in ratings to be on top of ACA, I'd be surprised if I get an answer to my E-Mail

Hey guys,

This is a subject that has infuriated me, SAU and clubs like it have only ever promoted safe driving, however this does not create a good story when narrow minded people are the "producer" of a so called "highly credible" show such as today tonight. This is a simple case of overgeneralising a culture which has two sides like any other. There is always going to be a group of people who make life difficult for others and the problem we have is that other car enthusiasts are giving us a bad name. The issue there is that so called "highly educated people" in a position of high social status fail to realise this and we are forced to pay for these idiots on our roads. I bought my first turbo skyline at 17, I was young and stupid but probably only did stupid things in my car half a dozen times but only in industrial areas in the middle of the night, however it was joining SAU where the guys made it quite clear to me that it would not be tolerated and these guys opened my mind up to safe driving, you don't need to be a hoon to enjoy driving a performance vehicle. So in my case it was one of these so called "street racer gangs" that prevented one more young kid killing himself or someone else it wasn't the poor advertisements on tv where the cops stand there threatening to take down hoons.

Guys we have some serious numbers in this club and I think it is time that we and clubs like ours need to do something, I'm unsure of what because I haven't really thought about it but there must be some way we can reinstate our club's integrity with the Australian community before this gets out of hand, with the media's crucifying of people like ourselves, things are gonna get out of hand to a point where whether guilty or not we are all going to some way have our cars impounded/crushed because it will be supported by the community.

Regards,

Steve

well if TT wont listen to anything but themselves, perhaps someone/we should go to an outlet that will be willing to hammer the shit out of TT... i rekn ACA would do it just out of pure spite... if we sent the ACA producer some of the emails that archer sent back to various members on here, im sure that ACA would jump at the chance to contradict TT and make the producer of there direct competition look like a total wank. perhaps invite an ACA reporter along to a charity cruise and show him/her what 99.999999999999% of the ppl who own "performance" imported cars actually are responsible drivers and respected/successful/intelligent members of the community.

for example, my 1st car for all intense and purposes was a proton persona. i used to fang and hammer the shit out of that thing and now that i look back on it - was a dick. i got the opportunity to drive a skyline and thought "shit, im gonna buy myself 1 of these" 2 months later i had 1. i saved money for my gtst and altho it is much more powerful then what my persona was, i think i drive it much more sensibly due to the fact that i saved money for it, it is much more powerful, and i have experienced (as im sure most of you's have) a little too much throttle around a corner can b scary, especially when your not expecting it...

having said that, WE HAVE ALL done stupid things in cars and if 1 person says they hav not then i call BULLSHIT...

I think that would be a great idea, maybe if a cruise is organised with the intention to promote safe driving, have the cops involved etc would make tt look stupid.

very disappointed in MR Graham Archer's replies. he should sign off as Wanker instead of Producer the gimp.

'Producer | Today Tonight' is synonymous with 'Wanker' and certainly 'Fatuous' (the irony is the half wit wouldn't even know what that meant LOL).

i'm curious as to if we did a cruise to help bushfire victims, would we still be portrayed as hoons by TT/ACA?

If it doesn't fit in with the prejudice they ignore it and continue pushing their agenda.

Has anyone thought about the formal complaint process?

The link below explains how to complain. ie. within 30 days of them airing drift in japan or track drift and saying they are hoons everyone and i mean all forum members lodge complaints to the station sending a very clear message to senior management.
