your brake balance will be fine. maybe check your tyres, but most likely your foot. unless for some weird reason you have brake bias adjuster. when you are about to hit something you tend to push harder... even when your not spose to.. usually when it happens quick like yours.

It doesnt look to bad, id remove the bar bash it out from behind as much as possible even heat up the plastic will help you with getting it to mold, spray it up and off you go.
