have a look int he cosmetics and styling section, theres a how to. I did mine, came out ok, wouldnt mind re-doing some parts. Go to Super Cheap and get 2 cans of "Desert Rose Metallic", pretty close to the stock colour.

hey Michael, does your dash insert have the rubbery coating on it? or is it the only the hard plastic (as i've seen in series 2 33s)

i have an s1 33, and my dash insert was looking a little worse for wear after a while of owning the car. The hot weather here makes it very easy to mark with scratches and eventually peel.

Tedious task, but i peeled every single inch of the rubber crap off with my fingers, and underneath it is actually a nice shiny black plastic. it looks mint!

if you do this on a hot day, the stuff peels off even easier

i can take a photo of mine if you like

just a thought to save you having to paint it

in my R31 i used a plastic pore/dash/bumper primer, and a high temp cast iron paint(mainly for looks of colour not heat proof portion), it looks like satin titanium steel when done, nice and doesnt glare, plus the heat paint never flakes from sun

cheap and looks like the real thing

I have painted mine myself and if anyone has seen it, I think I've done a pretty good job. More a question for the cosmetic section but I'll allow it :) If you want help, drop me a PM and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction
