4.9:1 Diff Ratio

I have found an R200 diff with a 4.9 ratio, which is ideal for what I need for the rallycar. It currently runs a 4.3 diff as far as I can tell.

Problem is, the 4.9 I've found is an open diff...

What I want to know is, could I swap the crownwheel and pinion from the open diff into my R200 lsd?

yes you sure can. just need to make sure the backlash is adjusted properly, the gtr manual has the details.

It's a 4.9 and it's out of a mighty Nissan Serena van!

Should be perfect to gear the car down a bit.

3.9's are S13 auto gears but 4.9.. wow! nice find

They already have out here! NZ$500 for an lsd one.

Only some Serena's come out with them, but I imagine a locked 4.9 would make a GTS-t at the drags surprise a few people.

just got a 4.9 gear set in for a mate who now doesn't want it
